Farewell Steem. It Has Been A Crazy AdventuresteemCreated with Sketch.

I joined Steem back on June 2017 which almost feels like ages ago. Once you add into the mix 10,526 comments and posts combined it sure was. I have evolved quite a lot as a content creator over the years. This place gave me the passion I wanted to try being a content creator again and it got me back into cryptocurrency. However, due to what has been going on I can’t keep putting the amount of time and passion into a platform I don’t have any faith in anymore.

Steem and the many communities I’ve been a part of over the past few years has been there for me during some rough times they just didn't know it. I don’t usually talk about my real life outside of some gardening and maybe a random post here or there. So those times are rarely known even to those I talk with daily. One thing I didn’t want to do is make this a sad place for me to be at. So I kept going on for quite a while sharing my passion mostly for gaming and some other stuff throughout the years.

I have learned a lot that has made me a better content creator. I grew up really disliking writing and any English class overall when I was younger. My passions in life were always math, science, and gaming. The latter passion is the one I’ve shared almost exclusively. I’m really glad I went that path as a content creator as there so many possibilities and the next adventure is just a new game away.

I won’t say this will be my last post here as I may check in from time to time to see if any old friends show up out of the blue. When you have been around this long in such a high turnover place you tend to outlast just about anyone you create a friendship with.

There were so many amazing people I’ve met here. As they came and went many were always pleased to discover I had still remained as they would come back from their long breaks just to see how things were going. Before disappearing again. Sadly this time it is I who will be departing.

While I had considered dual posting on both Hive and Steem just to make sure I left myself some options on the table. With today’s recent events of posts getting hidden on one of the older frontends by the new owners of that site and their hold over the platform. I’m just disappointed by the actions they took. It’s not always who started what but how people choose to resolve things that tend to be remembered.

I will still be creating game reviews, news, and maybe even short gaming stories of my adventures here or there. I also have plans this summer to show my garden again once I get things set up. It just won’t be on Steem.

If you are wondering where I went I’ll most likely be over at Hive. It will be best to check my Twitter account as no matter where I go I will most likely Tweet about it on there.

If for whatever reason I’m just not happy over there I’ve managed to acquire a couple of open offers. I do prefer being an independent content creator who most of the time puts in more time than I should be. If I ever wish to give up that line I can always try the more “professional setting.” I do prefer my freedom of speech, swearing once in a while, and playing whatever dam game I want. Along with not being stuck only covering one game genre! As I would get bored over time without being able to switch it up.

Where ever you end up dear readers I wish you success and many fun times on the adventure you embark on in life. Thanks for being so kind to me over the years. I hope to see many of you on the other side as many have been saying.

Cheers from a gamer who has been allowed to share his passion for games for so long.

You still need to encash your steems after the fork 😃

Hehe if they don’t force a coin swap to an exchange a large amount of us can’t even use.

You should buy a tiny beehive for your garden ;^)

Excited to join you on Hive, friend. We'll make it the best 👍

Already have one growing under part of the roof 😂.

See you on Hive!

You were ahead of the curve then! lol :^)

See you on the flipside bro'

I plan to be on both Steemit and Hive for the time being. For the moment I am just double posting but I'm not sure I like that. Not sure if I will eventually give one up or choose to do different posts on each. At least util the dust settles and we know more.
