Avoiding Little Unnecessary Expenses

Many times you probably feel that those little unnecessary expenses that you make everyday don't add up to nothing. But the truth is that when you start to do the maths, calculating how much money you're wasting in one week, one month, and one year - it's reasonably a big amount of money. The problem about little expenses is that it leads to bigger expenses.

Have you ever had a situation where you made lots of money, and because of that excitement you decide that you'll take a few of your friends out to a nice restaurant. Note, this expenses is actually unnecessary, because your life will go on fine without that expense. But regardless, you want to have some fun with friends.

When you're hanging out with your friends, you probably budgeted just 10% of the money you made to have this fun time with friends. Unfortunately, when you get out there, you'll see the bills coming in from expenses that you never really envisaged. You'll be absolutely shocked when you end up spending 50% or more of that money you made.

If only you had relaxed at home as you usually do, you wouldn't have blown away 50% of the money you worked hard for. Understand this, it's not logical that you work for about 30 days to earn some money, but blow away 50% of that money on one night. When you're still on your way up, meaning that you aren't very rich yet, you must avoid those little unnecessary expenses.

There's a saying - a little leak can sink a big ship. And that's very true, little by little you'll see that little expenses can swallow that big money you think you have. I'm not saying that once in a while you can't have fun, but make sure that you've settled all necessary expenses, before pleasuring yourself with the excess money left. Never go having a good time just immediately you make good money, first settle necessary expenses.

Hello @humor0404!
We must be very attentive to these expenses that at first are considered small and that in the end are the ones that cause the most problems and may be difficult to control, so it is important to have a good planning of expenses and see how much is actually possible to spend on other things. Thanks for sharing

Hi dear friend @humor0404

There's a saying - a little leak can sink a big ship.

It is a great saying, I did not know it, but I will never forget it, it is true that one usually spends money sometimes inviting friends who later turn out not to be such friends.

god bless you

One must be very careful of friends that add no financial value. Because if they're not helping you rise, they're most likely pulling you down. Thanks for coming around!

Hi @humor0404
In general we may have some daily expenses that eat up our finances drop by drop.
When I was working on the street, that I had to go out every day, I had mandatory expenses, but also some that I made them without thinking much, considering that as it was little it would not affect, and in reality it did. These are the so called "ant expenses", it has a terrible effect on our finances if we don't control it.

Those ant expenses as you've rightly mentioned, have a way of opening the gate for bigger expenses, and generally affects a person's finances badly. Thanks for coming around!

This is exactly where your money goes down the toilet! In order to prevent this, an awareness towards the spendings should exist.

If this is done you would see results very quickly.

I like your expression :) And you're very correct, whenever we make expenses that are completely unnecessary, it's very similar to flushing money down the toilet :). Thanks for coming around!

Managing gains and expenses is perhaps the most important component of financial freedom and I believe it is often the small expenses combined that make us suffer...

I couldn't agree more :)

Have a nice day, buddy

Managing gains and expenses is very important indeed. Thanks for coming around!

Hello friend @humor0404.

We must always have a good relationship between expenses that are not unnecessary, many times we spend minimal things that we think will not influence our finances and are drops that will always influence.

Cheers
