FAKE AIRDROP - SCAM ALERT - @contestbuddy
Greetings, dear community partners.
Please pay close attention to this information:
Currently, a scam model is being developed on Steemit and Hive where a fake AIRDROP of 400 STEEMS is promoted.
You will receive an invitation to claim that airdrop and inviting you to access:
https://justhive.blogspot.com/
Once on that page you will find a "CLAIM NOW" button:
By pressing that button, the link will take you to a fake "STEEMCONNECT". Look at the address bar of your browser:
NEVER PROVIDE YOUR MASTER KEY, ANYWHERE ... TO ANYONE.
Many of you will say:
"you have to be very foolish to be stogged with that ..."
But, believe it or not, many people have already done it.
Perhaps pressured by a stressful financial situation, perhaps tempted by greed, or simply believed that the promotion was true.
Structure of the scam
- Once the unwary provide their master key, all their keys are immediately updated. The thieves change all the keys and thus the original owner loses control over his account.
- Next step, a 100% powerdown is activated.
Where do the funds go?
All funds from unclaimed rewards and powerdown are transferred to accounts:
https://steemd.com/@contestbuddy
https://hiveblocks.com/@contestbuddy
...and from there they go to Probit:
Goodbye to funds.
Final Reflection
Brothers and Sisters, we must take care of our keys. They are a gold mine for us.
We must be alert to this type of scams, communication is key in this regard. Before taking a step, consult your friends, and remember:
No one is ever going to give you money for nothing, money is obtained with work and sacrifice.

Greetings friend @juanmolina
These situations tarnish the credibility of the crypto world, mainly the trust on platforms like ours, in my case I have always ignored these types of invitations. Thanks for socializing this type of content. Best regards, you are well.
when accessed from a mobile phone it is not so easy to see the address bar and that makes it difficult for people to differentiate scams, but from my point of view you are absolutely right when you say that "nobody gives away money" One thing is to participate in a contest with the aim of winning and quite another to win something without even having participated in anything related to it, Common sense is our main weapon against scams.
Hi @juanmolina
This kind of things are happening for a long time, and it seems not, but many fall into this trap, w very unfortunate.
There should be some way for steemit "management" to do something about it, maybe communicating with the exchange where the owner of that account is where the stolen funds are transferred to.
These are things that make some people distance themselves from cryptos. But,. You have to be very careful, people who are social scum are everywhere.
Hi friend, it's unfortunate that people act that way and take away other people's accounts, I find it scary to lose years of work. Thanks for the information, it is good that everyone knows what is happening and that it is not just a simple publication, but we have acquaintances who are going through something similar. Greetings!
Hello @juanmolina,
Useful information, we have to be very careful about it, many still fall for it wanting something free and easily, but in fact it can be expensive.
it could cost us all that we have.
Thanks a lot for this scam alert article. It's weird for people to still fall under these tricks but as you said, greed and financial stress could make someone believe something he/she would never believe in a normal day.
Very true, no one will give money for nothing, you must sacrifice and pay the price. No goes for nothing.
Thanks for creating this scam alert content for us @juanmolina
Thanks for the great alert @juanmolina. This is actually one of the reasons I don't engage in airdrops these days due to the huge number of scams involved.
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕♥️
Gracias por el aviso para estar alertas @juanmolina
