THE PRICE OF FREEDOM

For the past few weeks, I have been thinking deeply about the concept of freedom and patriotism, and how it applies to my sphere. How realistic are these ideas given the current situation of things in my country?

In the past couple of years, this oppressor regime has restricted certain liberties the Nigerian people once enjoyed. Coupled with the economic hardish, it is evident that the government is against the people.

The other day I watched a clip where people were struggling for packs of noodles in a dirty lake. The water was so black and dirty it made my skin crawl. A pack of noodles is just $6. This is the reality of thousands of people.

I think about the chances of these poor people having a better life but the truth is many cannot get themselves out of that situation and it is not their fault. They've found themselves in a system that was designed to keep them subdued.

Even with the few luxuries I enjoy, I still find myself trapped in this supposed hell-hole. The other day during my discussion with @mistaliki, it dawned on us that crypto has played a crucial role in our liberation from this corrupt system.

However, this oppression system still tries to find ways to handicap you. It is a never-ending battle and the only way I think we the people have a chance against the government and institution is to create and build our wealth.

The other day I wrote about choosing your battles and knowing what is important. This post sums it. For me, I must gain economic leverage and pull as many people as I can out of poverty.

Like I have said in the past, it is never about getting rich but creating a sphere where lack is abolished. A lot of people just need to have enough and that's enough for the change I want to see.

It is unfortunate that not so many people will take the chance to be free. They are not willing to pay the price for freedom. Maybe it's because many have a false notion that freedom is free.

There is a price to pay for all the liberties we enjoy and it is costly. Some people had to pay with their lives so I can enjoy the luxuries I enjoy today as a black man.

In conclusion, I want to use this little platform I have thanks to hive, to help as many people as I can get out of the place of want. I think this is more empowering than demanding things from an authoritarian government.

hello @nonsowrites,
freedom is something that we Venezuelans also lack, it is impressive how Nigeria and Venezuela are similar in terms of governments that only want to enslave people to maintain their lifestyle, technology gives us a chance to get out of poverty.

Technological advancement is important to the growth and development of the human species. It has played an important role in my freedom and i can guess the same for many Venezuelans. Thanks for stopping by

Freedom is the feeling that we all needed , and we are ready to pay anything and ready to do anything for getting freedom. We just need to help others to get and God will help us in future.

Freedom is the feeling that we all needed , and we are ready to pay anything and ready to do anything for getting freedom.

Easier said than done but that is the standard. Thanks for stopping by...

Hello @nonsowrites, I can recognize the feeling of the need for freedom in your words, I tell you that my country is also the prey of great social and political oppression and as you say, it is not about getting rich, it is about doing something that allows us to eradicate deficiencies, and whenever we have a way to help others we would also be helping these people to achieve their freedom.

I hope that soon things improve in your country, greetings from Venezuela

I understand how you feel. My dad lived and dead in Venezuela(unfortunately). I understand the plight of the people. Once a prosperous nation turned into something else. It is very unfortunate.

Yes @nonsowrites, it's true.

See you soon.

It is a very terrible situation for a lot of people, thankfully some of us even have the advantage of cryptocurrency and we can leverage certain opportunities but it is really tough and nothing short of difficult to raise a head in this part of the world.

I am grateful for crypto. It did help in a very difficult stage in my life. This is why i keep spreading the word about it. Thank you for reading.

Greetings @nonsowrites. The difficult political and economic situation is present in many countries and I share your words freedom is priceless, but we must first recognize that it is possible to be free, without having to shed a drop of blood. What you are doing is an example of this and sharing this freedom with other compatriots is very important for your future and that of your country. It will also help you to change your thoughts and understand that things can be done differently for future votes.

Thank you very much for your publication

but we must first recognize that it is possible to be free, without having to shed a drop of blood.

It is very possible if the enslaved and the oppressor are playing by the same rules which often is not the case but i totally understand your point of view.

Thanks for reading.

Governments that are fighting against people's freedom are for sure doing something wrong and they don't ever want people to figure everything out even if they know some.

Freedom is a right born with every human, it shall be protected at all costs, but sadly this definition is disappearing because the abusive people are the ones in charge almost everywhere, I don't even know how things developed and make us see those people being presidents or kings, to be honest.

Governments that are fighting against people's freedom are for sure doing something wrong and they don't ever want people to figure everything out even if they know some

Their attempt will fail in the end, that is for sure as more people get enlightened.
