The Diary game: A Productive Day of Work, Routine, and Responsibility
I had gone to sleep a little late the previous night, so I was not able to wake up very early in the morning as I usually do. This time, I woke up a bit late and had to offer my morning prayers at home. After completing my prayers, I had my breakfast. Before breakfast, I did some light exercise so that I could stay active throughout the day.
Then it was time to take care of some household responsibilities. I helped my mother with washing the utensils, and around 9 AM, I got ready and left for the office. The previous day, we had been informed that our presence in the office was very important due to pending work. The digitalisation work needed to be completed within a few days.
I convinced my partner to stay in his local office so we could work in a calm and quiet environment without much disturbance from others. We reached early and got straight to work, continuing it for most of the day. In between, I had a special lunch at a nearby restaurant, and the bill was kindly paid by my colleague.
After completing our target, I felt quite tired. I then went to a salon to get a haircut, as my hair had grown long enough to bother me. After the haircut, I headed back home. Since I didn’t have my car, I had to return by a cab that runs daily between my village and the town.
Once I reached home, I freshened up and took a shower to wash off the small hair particles stuck to my clothes and body after the haircut. Later, I had something to eat and, as usual, enjoyed a cup of tea before starting my reading.
I have a strong interest in reading, especially history and polity. It not only increases my knowledge about the past but also helps me prepare for exams that I may appear in the coming months.
Just as I was getting into a good rhythm, one of my colleagues called and asked me to log into my account to approve some work done by subordinates during the day. This kept me occupied for the rest of the evening.
After finishing everything, I had dinner, spent some time on social media, and then went to bed at around 11:40 PM.
