The diary game. A Winter Day of Snow, Work, and Warm Moments.

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

Some continuous snowfall over the past few days has turned our valley into a white wonderland, something people have been desperately waiting for over the last few months. Despite the heavy snowfall, people are very excited and not much worried about its impacts, and so am I. I got up very early in the morning only to witness whether any more snowfall had occurred overnight. After getting up and purifying myself by performing ablution, I found no new snow outside while walking towards the mosque to offer the morning prayers.

Just after finishing the prayers, I returned home and, as per my usual routine, did a few things. I first stayed in bed for some time to keep myself warm and then waited for breakfast to be prepared by my mom. Only after finishing breakfast did I set off towards the backyard. Today, I had a very important task at hand, which was to remove snow from the patch of land so that I could drive my car out onto the main road. It was actually a hectic job, but I have a habit of doing such work and have been doing it since my childhood. That is why I don’t get bothered by the magnitude of the work I need to do.

I completed part of the job before lunch, and immediately after having lunch, I went to visit my friends who were enjoying their time together at a friend’s shop. Later, after returning from there, I again did the remaining part of the work. After working continuously for about three to four hours, I was finally able to clear the snow from that part of the backyard, and now I can easily drive my car out, which otherwise was impossible. The car was completely wrapped in snow and wasn’t even visible at first when I came out yesterday to witness the snowfall. I was quite surprised to see such a heavy buildup of snow all around my car.

Later in the day, I got a chance to have a long conversation with a friend of mine whom I had met very early in my professional career when we were together submitting our documents at the selection board headquarters after being selected for the job we are doing right now. It was a long conversation in which we discussed what we had been through over these long years. Some new developments are also going to happen regarding our careers as accounts personnel in the government, and that actually made my friend call me to enquire about these updates.

In the evening, I again went to buy some groceries from the market, and this time it was quite pleasing to be outside with most of the people of the village, enjoying their time in the market and the snowfall with their friends. Later, I returned home and had my dinner at around 9 PM. As our grandmother is with us these days, our dinners feel quite special, because having dinner in her presence means a lot, as she has been so compassionate and loving to us throughout our lives. After spending some time on social media, I felt sleepy around 12 AM and then went to bed, calling it a day.
