The diary game. Better life with steem. A Peaceful Routine Filled with Purpose and Small Moments of Happiness
I woke up early, as it is my habit, and as my room is located on the side of the mosque, from where I can clearly hear the morning call for prayer. As soon as I heard it, I got up, performed ablution, and went to offer the morning prayers. This has now become a consistent routine for me—since the first day of Ramadan this year, I haven’t missed a single day of offering prayers in the mosque. It truly helps me embrace peace, positivity, and a strong spiritual connection, strengthening my bond with the Divine and bringing a deep sense of calm.
After finishing the prayers, I returned home and helped my mother with the morning chores in the kitchen. I stayed there until breakfast, and once I was done eating, I moved on to reading a few chapters of Indian history. I am currently on a mission to complete another revision so that I can retain things more effectively.
Once I finished reading, I stepped out into the lawn. The sun had finally come out after more than a week of continuous rain, and seeing it again felt truly mesmerizing. I spent some time soaking in the warmth before turning to gardening. I had planted several plants in vases earlier, and today I took care of them. A black grape plant I had ordered online had arrived the previous day, so I carefully planted it in a vase with soft soil, following the recommended method. I’m hopeful that it will grow well under proper care.
Later in the day, I shifted my focus to office work, which I handle from home. I needed an OTP from a department official to log in, and once I accessed the system, I found a large amount of pending work. I switched into “mission mode” and managed to complete everything by the afternoon.
After that, I spent some more time reading Indian modern history, focusing on how colonialism impacted India and how the country eventually overcame those exploitative systems during the 18th and 19th centuries.
In the evening, I planned to make fruit custard, one of my favorite snacks. For that, I went to the market to buy fruits. After returning home, I quickly prepared the custard. It turned out delicious, and I enjoyed it thoroughly—it felt like a special treat.
Later, my mother asked me to stay in the dining room for dinner, even though I was thinking of going back to my room to read. After having an early dinner, I returned to my room, spent some time on social media, and then went to sleep.
