The last few days of Ramadan are left, and everyone feels emotional as it nears its end. As Muslims, we wish it could last longer because it is the most beloved month of the Islamic calendar. The positive vibes it brings, the compassion it teaches, and the patience it instills are lessons we try to carry forward. We want this month to stretch beyond its time, but everything has an end, and so does this blessed period. I wanted to end it on a high note and truly embody what it teaches us.

Fasting is an essential part of this month, and I have been observing it sincerely. As these final days passed, I woke up very early in the morning. Before having my meal, I offered supplementary prayers, and only after that did I have Sehri. Afterward, I went to the nearby mosque for prayers and then returned home to rest for a while, as I still felt sleepy.

I woke up again around 9 AM and realized I was running a bit late. I quickly got ready for the office and, taking a shortcut, reached there within half an hour. Once there, I got engaged in my work and continued throughout the day. After offering the afternoon prayers and completing some more work, I headed back home.

The journey back felt especially pleasant. The changing scenes along the way were quite attractive. Just outside my office, the sky looked beautiful, and with the arrival of spring, greenery had started to spread. The plants all around seemed to radiate a calming green color.

My cousin had arrived from Jammu a day earlier, and I was eager to meet him after a long time. When I reached, we shared some lovely moments together. He is very fond of me, and I feel deeply connected to him. Our bond is special. He hugged me tightly, making me feel truly valued. I took him to the market, got him what he wanted, and then dropped him back home.

After that, I set out to bring my sister-in-law, who had been staying at her maternal home for a few days. My mother had already informed me. On the way, I got stuck in a traffic jam on a makeshift road that had been designated after a nearby bridge was declared unsafe due to cracks caused by downstream mining. It delayed me quite a bit.

Eventually, I got through the traffic and reached her place. After loading her belongings into the car, we took a shortcut route back home, which took about 20 minutes. This stretch was a bit challenging, as it involved a downhill mud road, and it had started raining lightly. Still, I stayed calm and drove carefully, reaching home without any difficulty.

It was then time to break my fast. After Iftar, I offered the evening prayers and later had an early dinner. At night, I went for the special prayers and finally returned home around 10 PM, after which I went to sleep.
