SLS-32|The Kitchen Diaries: 6 Tastes, 6 Stories| Week# 5- "Eat The Rainbow"
Greetings to everyone!!!
Welcome to Steemit Challenge Season 32 week#5 of The Kitchen Diaries!. First of all I would like to thank @steemitblog for giving me this opportunity.
Introduction
I’m honestly so excited to start this 6-week journey with all of you in The Kitchen Diaries. For me, cooking has never just been about following a recipe or mixing ingredients in a pot. It’s about the smell that reminds you of your childhood home, the small creative choices you make when you’re short on time, and the stories that quietly live in every kitchen table and family meal.
This season, each week will bring a new theme for you to explore and make your own. Some will push you to be resourceful, others will pull at your memories, and a few will just be about having fun with food again. I can’t wait to read your stories, see your photos, and discover the unique ways you turn simple ingredients into something meaningful.
Let’s make this season full of flavor, laughter, and real moments we can share together.
The theme for this week is "Eat the Rainbow" and I'm pretty sure it resonates with my emotions. We hear the phrase "eat your vegetables," but it's more effective for kids to listen when their plate looks like a painting. The health benefits of food that has color, such as red tomatoes, green coriander, yellow turmeric, and purple onion, are automatically attributed to it.
I've been playing with the colors this week as I prepare dishes like simple daal, salan, and rice in my home in Pakistan. Healthy eating should not be a monotonous activity.' Our mood is brightened by the brightness of our plate.. I can assure you that it's much easier to get kids to finish colorful food than simple Sabbati dishes.
Today, I'm presenting a recipe that includes both color and health benefits. Creating colorful kitchens is crucial for our bodies and our well-being.
