Is police your friend.

The slogan of the Nigerian of the Nigerian police says that the police is your friend unfortunately the reverse is the case because we are full with useless and corrupt police men and women who easily take bribes from people and do injustice all the time, with my experience with police officers in my area I believe they are all useless people who should be given serious warning by the government to ammend their ways.

Is police your friend? If yes, back up your answers,if No explain.

The police can never be my friends due to their bad behaviour, I have encountered different police men, and they almost seem to possess the same character.
They easily collect bribes from people and can do anything just for the sake of money, which is why people kill themselves anymore due to their injustice and dishonesty.

I always tell people to be very careful whenever a police man is searching ypur bad whne travelling because they might end up putting harmful substance and then implicate you for nothing at the end you will need money to bribe them.
I have had encounter with police officers but because I know my right and also as a barrack boy that I am they can't intimidate me, instead I shout at them and threatened to report them to a nearby military Base and they will just allow me to go.

The police can never and will never be my friends.

In carrying out their task very well, the police are to protect the lives and properties of citizens and also reduce the case of kidnapping and armed robbery.

But in Nigeria the reverse is the case, police are afraid of kidnappers and they often run away whenever they hear a sound of gunshot, sometimes the cornice with same armed to steal money from people which is very bad.
Police are meant to protect citizens and also guide them to the right path. It will help in bringing unity amongst ourselves.

They are supposed to stand by the truth and always avoid any form of bribery and corruption.

A good police officer put the well-being of his citizens before his, that is why they are always on the road making sure that there's peace.

Have you encountered any injustice by Police?

I have encountered many injustice police, they was a time that we were inside the bus and a police was searching everyone's bag but when he saw this beautiful lady he didn't search for her bag instead her asked for her number.
I was very angry and couldn't bear it so I had to air it out with a loud and angry voice.

If I want to describe my encounter with injustice police it will not finish, so to cut he whole story short, I have even fought with some police men due to their injustice.

Do you agree on the dismissal of the corrupt police officer? Or should other punishments be given

Yes, I do agree with this opinion because when you give them different punishiment, they will still come back and do more crimes that they did.
So dismissing them will teach others a big lesson and the rate of corrupt of police men ans women will reduce drastically because everyone will be afraid to loos their job.

With the economy this country no one will want to be jobless for any reason, so when a police officer who is corrupt is dismissed from the joke other corrupt ones will ammend their ways.
