L’Intelligenza Artificiale è più umana di quanto credi! / Artificial Intelligence is more human than you think! [ITA/ENG]

Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Quando pensiamo all’intelligenza artificiale, ci immaginiamo qualcosa di quasi magico.

La crediamo autonoma. Oggettiva. Super intelligente.

Ma la realtà è molto meno futuristica… e molto più umana.

Sì, avete letto bene, più umana perché dietro molte AI ci sono persone vere che lavorano ogni giorno per “insegnare” loro cosa dire, cosa evitare e come comportarsi. (Rif.)

Non parliamo di ingegneri o scienziati. Ma di lavoratori che:

• leggono contenuti
• correggono risposte
• decidono cosa è appropriato e cosa no

Purtroppo, spesso sono lavoratori con poca formazione che seguono linee guida rigide.
Lavoratori che vivono in paesi dove il costo del lavoro è basso.
E quindi con contratti fragili, senza o con poco supporto psicologico nonostante i contenuti pesanti da gestire e visionare.

E qui arriva la domanda che mi ha fatto riflettere: ma queste persone sono davvero preparate per decidere cosa sia giusto o sbagliato?

Certo, ricevono istruzioni, esempi, qualche test… e poi iniziano. Ma non sono esperti di etica, psicologia o cultura globale.

Eppure, nel loro piccolo, stanno contribuendo a plasmare il comportamento dell’AI che tutti usiamo.

L’AI non nasce intelligente, lo diventa attraverso migliaia di micro-decisioni umane.

Decisioni fatte da persone normali, spesso sottopagate e invisibili.

Quindi, io penso che sia lecito chiedersi quanto possa essere affidabile il sistema umano che la sta costruendo.

Non è per fare allarmismo.
È solo per ricordarci una cosa semplice: dietro ogni tecnologia che sembra perfetta…c’è sempre un lato umano, con tutti i suoi limiti.

A me questa cosa ha fatto un po’ effetto, lo ammetto.

Davvero possiamo fidarci... di qualcosa che viene “educato” in queste condizioni?

When we think about artificial intelligence, we imagine something almost magical.

We see it as autonomous. Objective. Super intelligent.

But the reality is far less futuristic… and much more human.

Yes, you read that right - more human, because behind many AI systems there are real people working every day to “teach” them what to say, what to avoid, and how to behave. (Ref.)

We’re not talking about engineers or scientists.
But workers who:

• read content
• correct responses
• decide what is appropriate and what is not

Unfortunately, they are often workers with limited training who follow strict guidelines.
Workers who live in countries where labor costs are low.
And so they end up with fragile contracts, little or no psychological support, despite the heavy content they are required to review.

And here comes the question that made me think: are these people really prepared to decide what is right or wrong?

Sure, they receive instructions, examples, a few tests... and then they start.
But they are not experts in ethics, psychology, or global culture.

And yet, in their own small way, they are helping shape the behavior of the AI we all use.

AI is not born intelligent.
It becomes intelligent through thousands of human micro-decisions.

Decisions made by ordinary people, often underpaid and invisible.

So I think it’s fair to ask: how reliable is the human system behind it?

This isn’t meant to create fear.
Just to remind us of something simple:

behind every technology that seems perfect… there is always a human side, with all its limitations.

I’ll admit it, this made me pause for a moment.

Can we really trust something… that is being “trained” under these conditions?
