How to secure yours Serey account
It’s important to save your owner key. This is the key you will receive when you sign up on Serey. There is no way for Serey to recover your account if you have lost your owner key. Therefore, it’s important to make a backup of your owner key!
For the sake of user friendliness, you can also attach a self-made password to your owner key in your Serey wallet. Once you’ve set your own password, the owner key is stored on your device and you can use the password to log into any application within the Serey ecosystem.
What can you do to keep yours Serey account safe?
Next to an owner key, your account also comes with a posting private key and an active private key. Both can be retrieved in the Serey wallet. The posting private key only allows a user to post content, whereas the active private key also allows a user to transfer SRY and SRY Power. For the user’s safety, it’s best to log in with a self-made password that has been created through the Serey wallet or else with the private posting key. The active private key should only be used when it’s necessary to transfer SRY or SRY Power. The use of the owner key should be kept at a minimum as it also allows you to recreate your posting and active private keys.
