Drawing trees. A few watercolor samples - Dibujando árboles. Unos pocos ejemplos a la acuarela
To begin with, this is not a post to participate in the Steemit Engagment Challenge contest, of course, as I belong to the judging team. I'm posting it in response to a request from @Stef1, who asked me if I could execute some watercolor tree samples that might inspire the participants. So I was in my studio this morning doing these little sketches, among them a fir tree, an olive tree, orchard fruit trees... Of course, each artist has his particular way of capturing the subjects and figures, these images are just a few examples that I hope will be helpful.
Para empezar, este no es un post para participar en el concurso de Steemit Engagment Challenge, por supuesto, ya que pertenezco al equipo de jueces. Lo publico como respuesta a una petición de @Stef1, que me preguntó si podía ejecutar algunas muestras de árboles a la acuarela que pudieran servir de inspiración a los participantes. Así que estuve esta mañana en mi estudio haciendo estos pequeños bocetos, entre ellos un abeto, un olivo, unos frutales de huerta... Por supuesto, cada artista tiene su particular manera de plasmar los temas y figuras, estas imágenes tan solo son unos ejemplos que espero que sirvan de ayuda.
The exercises with different type of trees look great.It is interesting how the colours may give different impression of different type of trees, like the first one looks relatively young, full of energy maybe in late summer because of yellow touch of leaves.
The last one looks old strong tree with such trunk and already divided into three strong parts so early. Fir tree immediately give an impression of staying somewhere in mountains.

He querido mostrar árboles que hay en mi pueblo. ´
Árboles que he visto plantar y crecer en las huertas que hay en mi pueblo, al ladeo de las casillas, al lado de las norias y frutales. El árbol que te ha llamado tu atención por su tronco es una oliva, que en Españas se suele plantar con tres varas (tres hijos) luego al crecer , tres troncos te ayudan a recoges su fruto , la aceituna, al tener más puntos de apoyo para poder subir más alto a varear la aceituna con garrote corto. En la plaza de mi pueblo lo preside una oliva de tres troncos que es milenaria. La plantaron los árabes allá por el año 900 dc

I love that tree, I did not know that this is an olive tree. Looks really gorgeous and like in fairy tale.
Probably, this is how a nominal mixed forest should look like :) Excellent watercolor work!!
