Illustration of a betta couple
This small illustration was a new exploration into the world of betta fish, which I made with a hybrid approach, mixing traditional and digital techniques. The drawing was made on paper, with a basic coloring done in watercolor. After scanning it, I applied details with the graphic tablet and the digital painting program Painter. Finally, I applied filters and color adjustments with Photoshop.
Esta pequeña ilustración fue otra aproximación que hice al mundo de los peces betta, que realicé con un enfoque híbrido, mezclando técnicas tradicionales y digitales. El dibujo lo hice en papel, con un coloreado básico hecho en acuarela. Luego, le apliqué detalles la tableta gráfica y el programa Painter de pintura digital. Por último, le apliqué filtros y ajustes de color con Photoshop.
This is beautiful watercolour painting, wihtout you saying that there is a mixed medium I would never thought so. I like hte effect of shiny siver back of fish but also the area behind the next looks goldish. The tail of hte fish is awesome so rich in colours.
I have always liked to try new things. Sometimes I end up creating something in mixed media or using the result as a sketch for a larger watercolor. Right now, I'm trying ai's as a source of inspiration.
Nice job. These fish are very picky when choosing their mates and are a bit nervous :-)
Yes. My son raised them for a few years and it was quite a process to get the fish to cuddle.
