I would tend to rest to sleep now after my treatment sessions here in my airconditioned room unlike beforesteemCreated with Sketch.

My room now as well as the entire house is conducive to sleep and relaxation which is why my parents as well are getting a good night's sleep because the house is clean, functional, and also, much presentable more than the big house across the road in front of our house because we have solar panels mounted on our roof and in effect it also added insulation to our roof considering that it also has insulation beneath it to protect us living under our roof from the heat during hot days.

My mother told me that she is not yet using the A/C in their room because it is not that uncomfortable and drizzling hot yet. We actually got accustomed from living under an old uninsulated corrugated roof for so many decades already which is why my Mother seems to be at least more tolerant to heat. But we will never experience that toasty oven-like hotness radiating from the old ceiling now because this new house has a protection already.

Even the color of the roof and the exterior walls are well-thought of before its installation and panting respectively because we chose light colors in order for the surface of the roof and walls to not absorb much of the heat coming from the Sun during daytime. I could have overlooked the color of the roof as well as its thickness if not had been to the help of my brother who managed the installation and color of the said roofing. So we had a thicker steel roof with an off-white color and insulation under it to maximize the heat protection to the interior if this house.

What I actually overlooked was the fact that I can't play loud music in my room during night time because our ceiling is actually made out of decorative PVC and it turned out to be a poor insulation against sounds. But since I like the way how the decorative PVC panels looks like and indeed it is beautiful, I chose it rather than the plain fiber cement board although it has some advantages of its own if that had been used for the ceiling of the house like a much better sound proofing compared to the PVC panels because it has a dense characteristic while the PVC panels are thin.

That is why when my room is dark and my mother turned on the lights in the kitchen and dining area, I can see the silhouette of the metal furring that supports it on the upper side. It is in a way a good thing because I can know that the light is on outside my room or that my mother is already up preparing my meal if when my dialysis treatment sessions falls on a very early schedule.

But regardless it is not something to be so sad about because the roofing has an insulation and even if our ceiling is made out of PVC, it will still decades for it to disintegrate and maybe by the time it happens it might not be my problem anymore. The second generation which will live in this house will either let it all rot or maintain what I had put in this house but again, it will be their problem already and not mine.

Anyway, after getting home from my dialysis, I would usually feel very uncomfortable particularly if the day is hot for the reason that the car that we are using has no A/C nor I am willing to fix its A/C because my father for one thing doesn't like A/C especially in a car because according to him it makes the engine run harder and in turn the engine uses more fuel and it is the reason why he doesn't like to turn the A/C of a car or vehicle even if it has a working unit and will actually be OK in being so uncomfortable for the sake of saving a few pieces of money.

It is one reason why I am nit eager to purchase a car because my father will just not let the A/C to be turned on. It is one of my pet peeves to my father just to save some money. So if the A/C will not be turned on in a new car, guess what we have to open the windows, then dusts will accumulate inside the car and will eventually ruin it. It is the scenario of what I am thinking about in happening if I were to buy a vehicle although we actually needed a new vehicle but again I am not so sure if my father will be able to drive me to the dialysis center a few years from now if I will ever to live that long.

With regards to resting to sleep after my dialysis treatment session, I am now doing that now because again, my bedroom is so much more comfortable now compared to my former bedroom and I have to take advantage of that. I also needed to get back my lost sleep hours although I am actually not getting any restful sleep at all because of the toxins in my blood affecting my sleep. I am already thankful that I can be able to get some intermittent sleep because in that way I will not lose the screws in my brain because I had experienced a lot of time when sleeping was so impossible to happen that my eyes hurt already by me trying to shut them so that I can get a few minutes of sleep at least. Thanks be to God I won over bad cases of insomnia which is why I am alive today, maybe just being a crazy writer, surviving a crazier life.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, @cryptopie! 🙏 Taking time to rest after treatment is so important. Glad you're in a comfortable space to heal.

Your post reminded me that health is the real wealth — just like financial health matters too. I recently wrote about Real-World Assets (RWAs) and how ordinary people can build long-term wealth. Take care and rest well! ❤️
