“Boris” by @Stef1

Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,

*

Finally it is a normal day for me and I can spend a bit of time reading at least the news what is happening in a country. I do not know if those of you who leave outside of UK are aware but here the conservative party with the PM Johnson as a lead suffering a dramatic pressure from all the sides. That was obvious after recent Election when they have lost a lot of their constituencies across the country.

On the top of that the scandal about having party in November 20 that time of lock down, when PM and his cabinet friends were celebrating party breaking the rule of Lock down but also having alcohol, that is already tells that this is not a routine working gathering but a celebration. During the PM questions in Westminster he denied that this was the case but today there were some photographs that nobody can deny that PM is there and raising his arm and making a toast.

At the moment the nation is looking at PM and wonder what he will be, there is a pressure on him to resign but he still resists it and I have a feeling that he will not.

Such Politician have a feeling that everything is allowed for t hem and they are untouchable, witnessing what is going on and that such people can publicly lie and have no punishment, many stopped trusting those who were elected but unfortunately we can't make them go and he will not step down himself.

We will see what will be happening. For those of you who are not aware and have an interest here is a short version.

I saw the painting and said it's boris johnson, of course that news revolves around the world, politics, I think most of them feel untouchable because they have been allowed to do so for a long time, it's the harsh reality!

Greetings!

Because I do not really like him that is why I decided to do it in impressionist style without much work on details :)

Hello dear friend @stef1 good afternoon
Politicians are all the same, the same thing happened here, the President of the Nation threw a huge party while we were all locked up, a shame and a lack of respect
I appreciate you sharing this information with all of us.

There are far more pressing problems than Johnson and Starmer not always behaving like they should during the pandemic. Cost of living crisis, for instance. In light of that a toast really is the least of Conservative problems.

What city do you live in, @stef1?

There are many problems you are right but the main is the Boss everyone is orientating on him. The matter not of the toast but the gathering the time of restriction when it was according his own rule not allowed to come together and even funerals went without relatives and he is there celebrating indoors with 8 people and drinking alcohol. I live in Scotland, Kirkcaldy

Well, I know and understand the frustration as it was unfair and inappropriate for Boris Johnson and staff to contradict that, what they where expecting the public to adhere to. I say, people get what they vote for. It was already clear who was honest and responsible, and who was a bit of a trickster during the election campaign debates between Johnson and Corbyn. But where I don't see things the same way is regarding Johnson as a boss everyone looks up to. Britain is highly developed democracy, political leaders tend to orientate themselves on prevalent public sentiment, and not vice versa - especially it is true in case of leaders like Johnson, imo. They represent the times, the reigning condition and spirit of the nation. Johnson and Starmer are Brexit leaders. Shenanigans like this one with toast look to me as a fit representation of Zeitgeist, it is somewhat symbolic of where we all are in Britain. Next election could change all that - nothing lasts forever.

Greetings friend, beautiful portrait of Boris, without a doubt your art is unique and beautiful. On the other hand, I had no idea of everything that happened with him, politics is something that many take to do what they want, leaving aside the rules.

I know many people who live outside of Europe have no idea what is happening here. But it seems the politician are all the same wherever they are.

It is funny when these politicians tell people to wear masks and exercise social distancing and all and yet they don't follow it brazenly while in front of camera in the middle of the pandemic. He just lost confidence and credibility even more.

His rule abiding ethic is as unruly as his hair but kidding aside Britain doesn't deserve such a leader but the one that will put back GB in its golden age. @stef1

Very nice painting of him👍

Yes, but also when they claim that this has not happen and even swear but when such pictures come up they simple say Sorry and that is enough if you are an important politician.

Hi Stef, great portrait, very confident brush strokes on a dark background that makes the portrait even strongest. Congrats!
Affaires like this from PM Johnson and even worse are happening all over the world. It is time to end impunity.

Thank you Jorge, I tried not to think much and used large brush because it was not really important for me if he will come up nice or not. But maybe that is a trick that we need to relax and let it go rather than thinking and being careful :)

That's right Stef, sometimes the stress of wanting our work to go well overwhelms us, this does not allow us to concentrate on what is important.

On the top of that the scandal about having party in November 20 that time of lock down, when PM and his cabinet friends were celebrating party breaking the rule of Lock down but also having alcohol, that is already tells that this is not a routine working gathering but a celebration.

О, да! Я как-то видел, что на телеканале "Россия" перетирали эту тему. О как любят "патриоты" такие темы. И еще про Байдена...
Как говорится "у себя в глазу бревна не замечают".

A great portrait you have painted full of character, but not a great prime minister unfortunately 😊 I recall you painted Nicola Sturgeon before who, is much more responsible!

Yes, on and off I love to do politicians or important people and see if people will recognize them or not :)
