Greeting

Here is another opportunity for me to apply for a place as Steem Country Representative for Cameroon. I'm so delighted with this opportunity given by the steemit team to open applications and increase the number of country representatives in Cameroon. I'm positive this will also go a long way to reduce the bug of responsibility on the currently available country representatives. I'm (@fombae) a Cameroonian by origin, and speak both official languages(English and French) and currently living in Cameroon.

My length of time and experience on the steemit platform has been fun for me, and having another opportunity as a country representative will be another pleasure for me. I believe I have learned and gained a good level of knowledge about the steemit platform and steem blockchain as a whole. I can boast as one of the steem Cameroonians to have taken the time to read and understand over 90% of the FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) section on the steemit platform. My background as a Web Developer has pushed me as far as exploring the STEEM website and its offers to developers on the Steem blockchain. I will categorically say I'm no longer learning the functionality of the steemit web platform but looking forward to how to help others. With the one-time opportunity as a Greeter Helper in the newcomer's community, I had the chance to help newbies understand and accomplish their achievement program, a majority were Cameroonians. I have technically been very helpful to both old and new steemian to better their user experience on the steemit platform.

So far, I'm a member of different communities, in which I participate by dropping my blogs. As a Cameroonian and one of the initiators of the Steem Cameroon Community, Making sure that the community trend has been one of my priorities on the steemit platform. I run two community contests to give current active Cameroon steemians the possibility to stay active. As a Mod of the community, I work hard to stay consistent to encourage newbies. I'm a #club75 member, hold Vesting Shares of about ~7.9 k and Delegated Vesting Shares of about ~5.5 k which I have been able to curate and encourage steemians with comments. I'm currently not powering down and have no plans for that yet.

I was one of the trainers of the first Steem training session organized by Steem Cameroon. I have gone ahead to talk about steem to other Cameroonian youths and help direct them to create their accounts. Some of the newbies I mentor are still active on the platform, which makes me happy. Like I will say, "it is not about having an account, it is about staying active."

Why Do I think I will make a great CR? My experiences and understanding of steemit/Tron projects and the steem blockchain put me in a better position of being a Country representative for Cameroon. Steemians will only stay on the platform when they understand how it works, which I'm among the best options so far who can give them a better explanation. I say this because, some weeks ago, I quickly understood what was wrong with the steemit platform, which created most Cameroonian steemian panicking. I have a better understanding #club status initiative and #steemburn initiative. My engagement both online and offline in encouraging steemians, which I think will be a strategy for me to work on boosting dormant steemians.

Currently, we have two country representatives with whom I have been working in close collaboration on how to build the steem cameroon community. So far it has been fruitful, but more work still needs to be done. So adding me to the number of country representatives will boost and speed up responsibility in both online and offline communities. I am happy with the collaboration and support from the steemit team and country representative for the work they have done so far to put steemit at this level in Cameroon. So by adding me, will just add another angle of ideas and strategies to increase the steemit impact in Cameroon.
