The Diary Game || 23/06/2022
Hello steemians
Its been a while😊 but i hope you've all been doing well, So today i bring to you another episode of my dairy.
Today was quite a busy day for me but am glad it was a successful One. I woke up today about 6am, did some work on my computer and about 7:30am my boss called me that there was Gig up that we needed to handle. I work in a sound company that rent out instruments for all type of events but this particular Gig he was talking about was a night vigil that was to hold at a church. So after he called i immediately prepared myself and by 8:00am i was at the store to pack out the instruments to be used.
After I packed out the instruments with my boss we called for the pick up guy and he arrived there a few moments later and we packed everything unto the truck and then we took off.
We arrived the event venue about 10:30am and offloaded everything. First of all we assessed the place and since it was a church, setting up everything was quite difficult as we had to disconnect thier on instruments and pack elsewhere before starting the setup, we did that and commenced with the setup.
- We started with the speaker placements w
- Secondly we did the cable connections which is always one of the most difficult because you have to make sure every cable you're using works fine.
- we moved to connecting everything to the mixer and power amplifier making sure everything was in the right position .
- Afterwards everything we did the sound check and everything was perfect .
We were done with everything by 3pm which was quite on time cause the program was to begin by 4pm. I was very hungry by then so i went by the road side and bought something eatable for myself. I rushed back to the place cause my boss was to leave and allow me there so i can control the sound while the program is going on.
The night vigil started a little bit later than expected but i was just glad that throughout the event the sound we delivered to them was perfect. Normally night vigils are for night but given the situation of our town it ended by 5:30pm, by then i was very tired so i quickly disconnected the instruments which we plan on taking them back tomorrow and then rushed back home so i could come rest.Immediately i got back i spent the rest of the evening resting .
