How To Make Crock Pot Hot Process Soap For Immediate Use
You can make soap at home in the crock pot and it is ready to use immediately. This is called hot process soap because it is cooked down all the way. Hot process soap is ready to use right away. Cold process soap must cure for 6 to 8 weeks on the other hand.
If you have a spare crock pot, then you have the ability to make a very simple and healthy batch of soap. And with the crock pot there is very little work involved.
To make crock pot hot process soap all you need are three ingredients. Lye, water and oil. You can use different types of oil for different soap qualities. And you can mix oils for the benefits of each type.

To make crock pot soap, simply put the ingredients into the crock pot and turn it on medium heat. Then let it cook down. You can stir occasionally but the crock pot will do most of the work for you.
You can see the soap go through various stages from the gel stage to the oatmeal stage and so on until it is fully cooked through.
Near the end of the process you will want to remove the lid of the crock pot a little bit to let the excess water cook off or your soap will never harden up.
To test if your soap is ready for use, take a tiny bit on a spoon and touch it to your tongue. If there is a little zap like a 9 volt battery then the lye is not yet cooked out. Wait some time and try again. When there is no more zap, then your soap is ready to be put into forms.
After your soap has cooled off and hardened, it is ready for use. You can cut it and let it sit a few more days to harden up. This will make your soap bar last longer.
I have been making my own soap for many years now and I love it.
Homemade soap has no artificial chemicals or ingredients so it is much better for you. Also homemade soap retains all the natural glycerin which is skin moisturizer.
