Every year, as the days of Eid al-Adha come closer, shoe shops become crowded, especially on Chand Raat. The market feels completely different during this season. Bright lights, busy streets, loud voices of shopkeepers, and people searching for the perfect sandals and slippers create a lively atmosphere.
Families, young boys, girls, and even elderly people visit the shops late into the night because everyone wants to wear something new on Eid day.
In our shoe shop, the rush starts early in the morning and continues until midnight. Customers keep coming one after another without any break. Some people ask for stylish sandals, while others look for comfortable slippers for daily use during the Eid holidays.
New designs, soft colors, and trendy styles attract customers quickly. Many people carefully check the quality, size, and comfort before buying anything. Some customers spend a long time deciding because they want the best design at a reasonable price.
Bargaining is also an important part of the shopping season. Almost every customer tries to reduce the price before making a purchase. It is rare for someone to buy slippers or sandals without discussing the price first. Shopkeepers also try their best to convince customers by showing different varieties and offering discounts. This buying and selling continues throughout the day, making the shop busy all the time.
The workers hardly get time to rest because they remain busy handling customers, arranging boxes, and showing new stock. Slowly, the whole day passes in this routine, and before anyone realizes it, morning turns into night. Even though the work becomes tiring, the excitement of the Eid season keeps everyone active and energetic.
