My Diary Game: A Productive Friday of Sales, Farm Harvests, and Official Visits [09/01/2026]
Greetings to all my fellow Steemians! It is a pleasure to share the highlights of my day with you all. Life is a beautiful blend of hard work, community service, and moments of relaxation with friends. Today was a perfect example of that balance.
Business and Poultry Sales
My morning kicked off quite early. In my previous post, I mentioned constructing a new cage for our poultry. Today, the hard work paid off! We had customers arrive at the house specifically to buy fowl.

Selling our fowl to customers in the morning.
As you can see in the first image, my mother and I were busy attending to them. It’s always a great feeling when you nurture livestock and they reach the stage where they are ready for the market. We spent time selecting the best birds for the customers, ensuring they were satisfied with their purchase. It was a busy start, but a profitable one!
🍌 Mid-Morning: The Farm Harvest
After the poultry sales, I headed straight to the farm. Nature has a way of rewarding consistency. I noticed that our plantains were finally matured and ready for harvest.

I harvested a large bunch (as seen in my red shirt, feeling proud!). Interestingly, the same people who came for the fowl also showed interest in the plantains. We sold a portion of the harvest to them immediately—talk about a "one-stop shop" at our home! The remaining plantains were brought inside and reserved for our family meals. Nothing beats the taste of fresh produce from your own backyard.
Official Visits to the Archdeaconry and Cathedral
By mid-day, I transitioned from farm work to official duties. I had some important documents that required signing and stamping at the church.

First Stop: St Matthew’s Archdeaconry Parish.
I spent some time here navigating the administrative process. The compound is serene and well-maintained, providing a peaceful atmosphere for the students and parishioners.

Second Stop: St. Michael’s Cathedral.
I moved from St. Matthew’s to the Cathedral for a final review of my papers. You can see the difference in the architecture; the Cathedral compound is exceptionally beautiful and carries a grand sense of history and "level." I spent some time in the office (as seen in my selfie) waiting for the final stamps. It was a bit of a wait, but I used the time to reflect on the day's progress.
Quality Time and "Grand Merritt" with Friends
After a long day of walking and office visits, I decided to stop by a friend's house on my way home. There is a special kind of "merritt" (enjoyment) that comes from eating together from the same plate.
Today reminded me that every effort whether in the poultry pen, the farm, or the office, counts toward building a better life. I returned home tired but very fulfilled.
