The diary game:8/6/26 Attending lectures and cooking day

I woke up to a rainy day here in port Harcourt. The rain started around 4am and I was praying low-key for the rain not to stop so that I won't go for lectures today. But, fortunately or unfortunately the rain reduced around 6:30am so I had to pray and do my morning devotion then I washed the plates I used to eat last night. Then I brushed my mouth.

After brushing, I was still contemplating on what to eat for breakfast so I went to a nearby shop to buy bread to my utmost disappointment, their bread had finished. Then I angrily went back to my hostel under the rain and didn't have breakfast again I just took my bath and went for lectures.

On getting to the lecture hall, I met some of my coursemates already there, greeted them and reserved chair for myself behind. After some minutes, a lecturer came in and we stood up to greet him. He thought us on the topic called temperament but he was digressing too much making the lecture too long and boring making it difficult for me to understand his teaching.

At the end of his lecture,I was able to jot something from his class. So break time came and boom I fled to the hostel to cook because I wasn't craving snacks and I was dead broke. I already made stew during the weekend so I just broke spaghetti and boiled it . After that I boiled egg and in 35 minutes time food was ready and I ate to my satisfaction.

Then I started checking my social media accounts and watching videos. After that, I was feeling a bit sleepy so I slept for one hour because I value my afternoon sleep (siesta) and at night mosquitoes won't allow me to sleep well. So after that I received a call from my friend that we are having class by 2pm and attendance will be taken.

So I got up from my bed, dressed up and headed for the lecture hall. On getting there I met my coursemates outside because they were taking attendance of people that were present for the course. Well, I was happy I didn't miss the mental health class because the attendance carried 10 marks at least I know I have about 60 marks to get to make an A in the course and I don't settle for less.

After the lectures I came back to the hostel and went to spread my clothes outside because sun was shining then I took my bath and I saw a movie because I really needed to be relieved of the stress from the lectures. After watching the movie, I went to plait my hair because I wasn't able to plait it on Sunday because of church activities and preparation for the week.

After plaiting my hair, I went to read because my exam is in a week time and I don't like piling notes before reading them. I also have to read because there's nothing like carryover in nursing school. If someone fails a course the person will rewrite it but if he or she fails more than four courses, it's demotion. So I usually like to make hay while the sun shines. So yeah that's how I spent my day.
