Good morning dear Steemians. I wish you a happy new week. May God Almighty carry you throughout this month in Jesus Christ's name AMEN21X.

Sunday was quite eventful, for me, it was a matter of timing and making an effort to satisfy all parties to avoid attention of my absence. The crusade in my community ended yesterday evening, but I had to cut my time short, having put it two (2) solid days with them, I needed to return to Uyo to be part of the Youth Wing of Christian Council of Nigeria (YOWICCN) Akwa Ibom State Chapter end of the year music concert. How would I have missed this event being not just the host (It was held in our church) but I am the Assistant Secretary of the group? Now to the Shekinah Glory Annual music concert which all of them were held the same day and at the same time, I have been part of the team over the years now, so it was necessary to register presence too. Now follow me down, you will see my strategy and how I made it without my absence being felt by all the parties.

BEFORE LEAVING THE VILLAGE

Because of the key role I have been playing in the Obotme for Christ Crusade, telling the entire team that I will cut my stay short would have been a problem, or discourage some of them. In the crusade I used the knowledge of God upon me in the music line (playing instruments) . I am also a preacher, an organiser to any length with great loyalty to my superiors. It was difficult to leave but I couldn't help. Uyo was already expecting me back.

I spoke to my boss, the coordinator of the crusade and he saw reasons I should be released to go. Waking up in the morning, I went around to fix things and arranged the boys, telling them how the evening would be and what they should do. To ensure that even in my absence the evening will be fine, I left about 9am to go to Uyo. I noticed the feeling on my boss' face, so emotional and summoned courage to say goodbye. I got to Ikot Ekpene, boarded a taxi to Uyo and I was home about 11:17am.

My family were very surprised when they returned from church. I told them I had to be involved in all the events on this day, 14th December, 2025; let it be a memorial of a great strategy. Throughout the afternoon I was sleeping to regain strength for the evening programmes.

YOWICCN END OF THE YEAR MUSIC CONCERT/SHEKINAH GLORY

Our church, the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Uyo Parish hosted the event. As the assistant secretary to the body and chairman of the local organizing committee (LOC), we had put everything in place since early this month. It was a state event that brought the 10 churches under the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) block together to sing. The theme for the event was tagged HALLELUJAH TO THE KING OF KINGS. The event featured Christmas carols sung by various choirs who graced the occasion. The high point of song ministration was when the Salvation Army orchestra rendered their piece. It was an amazing moment. All the wing instruments were put together to harmonize the music that pleases the souls of men and women. Everyone were on their feet to sing “we wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year”

Apart from the song ministrations, an epoch -making event witnessed the cup presentations and medals to the winners of the YOWICCN Football Tournament 2025. The competition began on 15th November through 13th December 2025, with 7 teams in the competition. The Methodist Church won the maiden edition of the tournament having The Salvation Army as the best runner up.

Church leaders were there, giving moral support to the youth wing. The state chairman, bishops and head of churches under the CCN, all occupied the front row of the church, making it colourful altogether.

SHEKINAH GLORY MUSIC CONCERT

At about 7:05pm, I left the church for Afaha Ube Primary School field, where the Shekinah Glory Concert was ongoing, and I spent a little time with them, and returned to the YOWICCN to see the ending part of it as the host. Just at the right time, as I entered the church, the secretary of YOWICCN was giving a vote of thanks as part of closing formalities. The next item was the closing prayers, and everyone was charged to say the grace in fellowship; by this time, the hall was beginning to be empty.

Immediately after the benediction, we had an executive briefing and decided to have a formal EXCO meeting to present the report of the event and all of that. You can see how my strategy worked. I ensured that all of them left the church premises before I still had to go back to Shekinah Glory for the second time, and I was with them until closing. The organisers saw me, and all the teams and departments working there saw me. Wow! It was stressful, but I was able to fix myself in different places without leaving any gap in the hearts of friends. That's to say, “no gap, no wound”.

Have you tried this strategy before, were you able to succeed? Please share in the comment section let others know how to handle multiple events, while leaving all parties happy.
