The Diary Game: When NEPA Gives 3 Hours and Takes It All Back 😂 (11/04/2026)

Hello everyone and welcome back! It's your boy @gideonova and welcome to another session of my diary. Today was one of those slow, easy days with little surprises scattered in between. Let's get into it!

My morning started with the leftovers from yesterday doing the heavy lifting. We warmed up the remaining moi moi from the night before, put the kettle on the fire to heat up some water, and then mixed the pap. When everything was ready we sat down to eat — moi moi and pap, a combination that never misses. Warm, smooth, and satisfying first thing in the morning. 🍲

After eating I fed my dog his breakfast and played with him a little before settling into some games. But my body had other plans. I hadn't slept well the night before and it was catching up with me fast, so I put the phone down and went back to sleep. By the time I opened my eyes again it was already afternoon. No regrets — the body needed it. 😴

Once I was properly awake and on my feet, I headed out to buy some soft cheese — wara — from nearby. I brought it back and had it with moi moi and garri and honestly the combination was really tasty. Sometimes the simplest meals hit the hardest. 😋

After eating I jumped into some Free Fire matches with my friend and we had a good time going at it together. 🎮

Then NEPA finally decided to show up and bring the light. I immediately rushed to charge my phone, power bank, and torch light, then went straight outside to pump water. My dog came out and kept me company by the pump as always while my brother ran the washing machine nearby. The compound was busy and productive and it felt good. 🐾

When I was done pumping I noticed something interesting — some of the moringa pods on our tree had ripened. I went ahead and plucked them, which was a nice little unexpected task. Our moringa tree is always giving something useful. 🌿

After that I went inside and settled in to watch some movies until the evening arrived.

When evening came we got to cooking — jollof rice was on the menu and the whole house smelled amazing as it cooked. Then NEPA did what NEPA does and took the light away after only three hours. Three hours. Honestly painful is the right word. But by that point the jollof rice was ready and it was only when the light went that I realised I hadn't even eaten yet. So I served myself a plate and dug in and it was absolutely worth the wait. Tasty, rich, and exactly what a long day deserved. 🍚

I fed my dog, and just like that another day came to a peaceful close. Simple day, good food, and a loyal dog by my side — what more could you ask for? 💛

I hope you had an amazing day too. See you next time! 💕

## Thank you so much for reading my diary! 💕
