The Diary Game: Tendering A Helping Hand And Attending My Neighbour's 50th Birthday Party(26-01-2026)

I helped out this morning in arranging venue for my neighbor's birthday ceremony, though the party was going to happen in the evening, the event planners came early for decoration and I helped in offloading the chairs from their van. When I finished, I took my bag and went to church for fasting. I've been holding on to my God very tight recently and I know he won't fail because he never fails.

I broke my fast with a plate of fruits from the church before going back to the house, I got home and only had the strength to just have my rest. My friend came in to check on me but that was in the afternoon and when he left, I joined him out and visited my shop. I don't know what's really happening in my state with our power supply because a large part of it has been experiencing blackout for the past days and unfortunately, my area happens to be part of it. My phone had just 3% and I thought of preserving it but then it went off while taking my sister's call.

I stayed in the shop, attending to customers till 6pm. I closed and went home so I could attend my neighbor's 50th birthday party though I know I won't have pictures to show for it here because my phone was off but when I got home, I noticed their generator was on and I charged it up to 10% before they switched it off. I heard their generator had been in for more than two hours and I was just unfortunate to return home when they were about putting it off. I ate my dinner and washed the plates before getting dressed and stepping out to join the people who had come to celebrate with my neighbor.

I called back my sister to find out why she called before my phone went off and I was billed for her son's school fees. I promised to send part of the money to her before the week runs out before hanging up. I stayed and enjoyed the party that went on in the compound till some minutes ago when I thought of my Steemit audience and decided to come here and gist you all about my day. I will be going to bed after now. I'm happy to be part of the @steemit family, God bless us all.
