Dinajpur Government College was established on 1 July 1942 and later officially approved by the government in 1968. Dinajpur Government College is a historical and one of the largest government colleges in the northern part of Bangladesh. It is located in the northern part of Dinajpur city, in a quiet environment. It can be reached from the station in 20-25 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to reach here from the bus terminal.
Inside the College
The campus is about 65 acres and thousands of students study here from higher secondary to master's level. I also went to this college for master's admission. It takes about 2 hours to walk around the vast area inside. Everything is arranged inside this college. Inside, there is a building for higher secondary classes on one side and an honors and master's building on the other. There are trees planted everywhere inside.

Upon entering the college, the first thing you see is the binding of the Arts department, then the Physics department. The binding of each of these departments is in a different place. Classes are conducted for the students of that department every day in these departments. Also, various tests are conducted in the lab here everyday . Also, the names of each department of the college are written on the walls. This college has 27,879 students and 40 teachers.
College garden
inside away
There is a big garden inside the college. Various medicinal plants are planted in this garden. These plants are used for the students' exams. There is also a clean road inside. The students of the college use this road. When I went inside, I saw that students always use this road. This road is cleaned once a week. Every road in this college is made like a road. Due to such a large area, all kinds of facilities are available here. The college has regular mock tests, text exams, and club and social events. After completing the honors, it helps in building a career in various fields including masters and later government junior teachers, banking, corporate offices, etc.

 | Shaheed Minar |
The college's Shaheed Minar is built for offering flowers every year. The Shaheed Minar part of this college is very large. Students sit and chat here. There are many small plants next to it, which makes it look very beautiful. The colors on the minar of this college are very bright. It was built for offering flowers on February 21. There is a mosque built here for students' prayers, it was built in 1991.
College cafeteria
The college cafeteria is a very nice place. Breakfast includes tea, biscuits, sandwiches, etc. Lunch has a simple menu of rice, dal, vegetables, fish or chicken. Light fast food like packet noodles, samosas, pastries, etc. is also sold. Prices are usually kept as a convenience for students. I did not enter here. A curfew is required to enter here.Overall, I really liked the college. I will be studying there for 1 year.
