Bamboo seating area on top of a tree
"Battala's Sky Tong" This banyan tree is located on the west side of the Habra Golabari field, 3 kilometers from our village. Detailed address: - Habra School field, Habra Union No. 8, Parbatipur Upazila. If you come to Habra Zamindar House from Parbatipur Upazila by bus or auto rickshaw through the main highway, you can see this large, unripe banyan tree on the west side of the road on the right hand side. This tree is known to everyone as Battala's Tong.
At first glance, this place gives a different feeling. A huge old banyan tree, whose roots spread deep into the ground. But the most curious thing is that usually in the afternoon people sit here and talk and everyone, young and old, enjoys playing football or cricket from the top of the tree. There are a few shops nearby, from where the boys bring cigarettes or other materials and eat and talk.
However, there are some rules that the local boys (who built this place) ask to be followed:-
The branches of the tree cannot be broken. It is forbidden to throw garbage, cigarettes or intoxicants cannot be consumed. It is better not to come here alone at night. The environment is very natural and mysterious. Especially in the evening, the rustling of the trees and the sound of the wind make the place even more strange. I like its atmosphere.
I have been seeing this banyan tree since I was a child. It is my school ground so I used to play cricket here. But I never dared to climb the tree before. I went there with my younger brothers a few days ago and then I climbed there. But that day my friend climbed up to take a picture with me so I got the courage.
Some time ago, local boys built this tree to enjoy the beautiful weather and to guard the nearby mango orchard from the tree. The strangest thing is that many people say that this tree has a ghost in it at night, so no one is allowed to go here. The liberation war of Bangladesh took place from here, so everyone is afraid.
If I were in charge of naming this strange thing, the fun name I would give it is “The Tea House Hanging in the Sky.” Because sitting here feels like sitting on a tree branch and looking at the world from very close up in the sky. The bonds of friendship are becoming closer.
I climbed up the ladder and took a picture
Sitting in this place, I felt a kind of peace. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, just the sound of the wind and the chirping of birds. And my dear friend was nearby. All in all, this is a truly exceptional place. I want to go again and again. When I go to this place, I remember the old days in the guise of stories between us.
I would like to invite my friend:@kibreay001 @radjasalman @sailawana
