All about the Prophet's birthday celebrations

The celebration of Maulid (the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW) in various regions of Aceh, especially where I live, is always celebrated with as much luxury and festivity as possible. Especially the one we just held at our village mosque a few weeks ago, a Maulid Akbar event. This was also the first time we had held this event in our village.
The mosque committee had formed a special Maulid Akbar committee well in advance to create procedures appropriate for the event. This included the general chairman, the sections, and the section members.
A week before the event began, the committee was busy with their respective duties. Starting from the venue and equipment, especially the catering section, which prepares all kinds of dishes and menus to be served to guests, invitees, and all the villagers.
The day of the Maulid celebration is naturally filled with the recitation of dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and salawat (prayer) that echoes in mosques and other places where the celebration takes place. The echo of dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and salawat (prayer) is also an integral part of the celebration.
Of course, every invited guest has a feast prepared for them to share, and for special guests, such as religious scholars, the feast is prepared with the best possible food.
The celebration of the Maulid Akbar (Great Maulid) is also completed by providing assistance to orphans in the villages where the celebration takes place. Assistance to orphans is an essential and inseparable part of the Prophet's birthday celebration.
Maulid celebrations are held not only in mosques and village meunasahs, but also in various educational institutions and other government agencies. In schools, Maulid celebrations have sometimes become an integral part of the annual celebration.
Villagers' homes sometimes also hold their own Maulid celebrations. They invite groups of religious scholars and individuals to pray and recite blessings at their homes. The goal is simply to seek the approval of Allah and His Prophet.
