Maintaining health during the busy nights of Ramadan
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
Maintaining good health during the busy nights of Ramadan, which are filled with a series of worship activities, including tarawih prayers, reading the Quran, and various other nighttime prayers, certainly requires a strong and healthy body. Therefore, to maintain my health amidst the busy nights of Ramadan, I also don't forget to exercise to maintain that health, so I can carry out various charitable and worship activities smoothly during Ramadan.
Among the busy nights of Ramadan in my country, Indonesia, one is very unique, marked by increased worship and social activities after breaking the fast. Activities include congregational tarawih prayers at the mosque, Quran recitation, i'tikaf (seclusion), breaking the fast together, and hunting for takjil (pre-dawn meal)—traditions that have become a part of Ramadan.
These activities certainly require physical and mental health, ensuring that our worship is of high quality.
Well... A few nights ago, I returned to some intense exercise, playing mini soccer on a field in Lhokseumawe, as documented below.
Playing mini soccer on Wednesday evenings, March 4th and 11th, 2026, from 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM Western Indonesian Time, at the Lhokseumawe city field, was my umpteenth experience. This game was a good agreement between the youth of Nisam District. The mini soccer games we held were purely for camaraderie, and of course, a way to sweat for our health amidst the busy nights of Ramadan.
The holy month of Ramadan is the best of all months, and it's a month where our good deeds are multiplied. To be able to perform as much worship as possible during this month, health is of course paramount. Therefore, making time to exercise during the nights of Ramadan is the best thing I can do to maintain physical and spiritual health. It's impossible to do a sport as intense as soccer during the days we fast.
Friends, that concludes my presentation for today. I welcome all your suggestions and comments. I apologize for any errors in presenting this post. Wassalam.
