Cooking Plantain Porridge
Hello @everyone Happy Sunday and welcome to my blog. Please, stay glued as I share this beautiful recipe.
On this day, my cravings took another level like that of a pregnant woman... It was whispering softly and tenderly I need plantain porridge, I need Plantain Porridge but I kept ignoring.
It suddenly said to me with a thunderous voice I NEED PLANTAIN PORRIDGE... Smiles! At this point, I could not ignore again because my intestines has already started dancing to "Timaya Song" (Dem Mama)
I summoned courage and said to myself, Timaya Song Dem Mama shall never be my portion. Smiles! I rushed to the market to get the following ingredients to prepare my plantain porridge.
Ingredients
→ plantain
→ smoke fish
→ kpomo
→ pepper
→ crayfish
→ onions
→ native spices
→ scent leaf
→ adusa leaf
→ Maggi
→ salt
→ palm oil
Procedure
I washed and pounded my pepper and crayfish together. I deboned my smoked fish, pounded my native spices, washed and cut my kpomo into desired shapes and sizes and set them aside.
I proceeded to Washed and cut my scent and adusa leaves together and of course my Maggi and salt was handy.
I quickly put the pot containing the plantain and onions of fire, allowed to steam very well before I added my fish, pepper and crayfish, kpomo, covered and gave it a great steam for the ingredients to marry each other and incorporate.
I added my red oil, Maggi and salt, stirred, confirmed the taste and covered to cook properly.
I added my native spices, stirred and added my scent leaf and adusa leaf as the last ingredients and boom, my plantain porridge was ready.
I ate till my intestines stopped singing and dancing to "Timaya Song Dem Mama" smiles! That was how I satisfied my cravings.
