The Diary Game: Attending My Cousin's Marriage Introduction 2/3/2026

Monday was supposed to be a day for business but I had to go to my cousin's marriage introduction. It's a tradition over here, it could be done any day in the week so she choose today and since my staff is now okay to work, I came down here for her. We all wore our family uniform, I reunited again with my cousins.

I went inside when I arrived and the list was being drafted so that I could be given to our about to be inlaw. The guy is just a struggling guy like myself so my advice to my uncle was that he shouldn't be levied much. Apart from the village items, I feel he shouldn't be asked to pay much for dowry, that was just my take as I left the final decision for my uncle to make.

We did the normal, we welcomed our inlaw once again. After that, we brought drinks for them to drink because they came from a very long distance and so deserves to be treated to a very chilled drink and other refreshments.

They told us that they were going to come back another day to bargain the list so that the family will give their final verdict. I will not be there because that one will be between the father of the bride and the inlaws. So I went inside to congratulate my in-law for making this noble act.

When I went outside, I saw my cousins sitting outside, they told me that Kingsley's wife, that's is, one of them, his wife just out to birth and they were celebrating it. This means double celebration for us in the family, so I took the powder and pour on myself as well. It's like a tradition over here that when someone out to birth, you celebrate them by pouring powder on yourself.

I went to the house and I couldn't go to my wife's shop after I came back. The only thing I did was to warm food and eat and also keep the food for them to come back home and eat. I slept small around that 6pm when I came back. I was hoping I will wake up early to write.

It seemed I overslept so when I finally woke up, I checked my time, I missed the class for today, I messaged the tutor and pleaded with him before I came to have a word of my day with you all. Hope you all are doing okay?
