The Diary Game: Back To The City After A Long Holiday In The Village 28/1/2026

I finally kissed goodbye to my village today, it was really an emotional moment for me, I was going to miss my mom again for another one year, she was even shedding tears when I wanted to leave the compound, I promised her I would be coming again to visit her next year because that's when I will come again to celebrate new year. I went to the park and boarded bus back home.

When on my way, I called my wife and told her I was on transit coming back to Ogun state to come and be with them, she was very happy and at the same time, she didn't believe me because she thought I would be coming back on Sunday but I took her by surprise. It was a long journey, journey of like 8 hours, I slept throughout the journey, even to snap pictures, I couldn't.

When I finally arrived home, my son was so happy to see me, infact, he was the first person to receive me after I got back home. He struggled with my box, I helped her push the box inside and he was trying to ask me why I didn't come back early for him, I told him I had so many things to do in the village.

When my wife came back from the market, she was so shocked to see me, I surprised here really hard. She came in and hugged me then I gave them what I brought from the village, my wife called my mom to appreciate her for giving her all those goodies. After that, I went inside to go and bath because I was stinking, don't mind me, I wasn't.

When I finished bathing, my wife brought the food she cooked and gave to me to eat, she knows the kind of food I love to eat. She brought melon soup with vegetable and garri, I was so happy, I munched everything and after eating, I was so tired.

I went to the parlour and sat there watching my son trying to eat orange with canned malt, I told him he shouldn't and he began to cry, so I had to leave him to eat whatever he wanted to eat while I kept a close eyes on him. When my wife finished what she was doing in the backyard, she came and then we talked, I told her how my village adventure was.

After that, I felt really tired and told my wife I needed to sleep after such a long tiring distance travel, then she brought me sleeping peel, I took it and then I came to share my diary so that I won't doze off without doing so.
