RE: Wednesday House | Mathew Jonson - Marionette

Appreciate the mention. I could probably go on an hours long rant of why Jonson is one of my favorite artists, so much of his Marionette era work ranks among the classics in my eyes. His studio approach is aspirational to me, just these extended jam sessions that seem like a natural extension of him self.

Like I said, I could go on and on.

But yeah, still here. I only passively pay attention to the Steem INC drama and don’t let it influence my postings. If I had to comment on it, well... I’ve been saying since last summer that too much of this platform is focused on discussing the platform and not creating content. And yeah, there are smart people that should be doing that, but it has sort of permeated to every level and now it feels like a huge portion of users have just disappeared up their own ass with Steem based gossip, which is really a big big turn off for attracting and maintaining new users.

I’m just going to do me and focus on the real reason I’m here which is that it is still less toxic than FB.

I would simply agree with every sentence you wrote here, man :)
wisely written

Some days I feel like I should expand my thoughts on this into a full post, but the notion of doing that feels a bit like pandering towards the same thing that I dislike on here. This idea that only Steem focused content can rise to the top. IMO, if Steem wants to succeed it is really dependent on getting away from talking about the platform itself and focusing on creating a platform that you would want to be a part of as a social media user. It's something that seems to be failing lately with so much focus on automation and an incentive structure that promotes that. I could go kind of heavy into it, but I feel like a post about that would be adding to the problem.
