NOT GETTING MY FARM BUT INSTEAD A LITTLE SADDNESS
If any of you have been following my journey to buy a farm you know how excited and anxious I am about it. However, after a looong wait, I have received the bad news....the farm I was looking at is too much money.
So yes, it makes me sad. All I want is to move my son out of this terrible City I live in and at times it seems it will never happen.
We may not have our farm but we do have our love and I think for now I will hold to that tightly and continue to believe that good things will come.
Sorry this post will be so short and not upbeat. My friend @mrnightmare89 has started a new #how tag...to use to explain "#how are you feeling right now." So I thought, I will use it today. I love you all and I hope you are all doing wonderful.

Thanks friend. For the positive words..and the coffee!! Things always get better. This was just a big "want" so it hurt a little. However, things are since looking up.(as should be expected.) I really appreciate you though and hope your week has been great!!!

It's kinda funny you say that. Because I'm going to look at a different farm just a couple hollows over, tonight. It's only a couple miles away.
The top one is the first farm. The bottom is the second. And i already know the asking price and that i can afford it. Just going to try low balling them first. 😁

There is something about this one is not right, besides the price. It's one of those unexplainable things. Just stay focused on your plan and most of all don't give up. I truly believe things happen when they are supposed to. Not an planets align kind of thing, but when your intent is solid what you seek will meet you. Sadly, we all wish we had a time frame. We logically know trying to control that will just lead to frustration and disappointment. I guess this is where you need to let faith step in. A belief what you are seeking you will find.
You are 100 percent right. I have turned my sadness into "git 'er doneness". 😂🤣😂 And I've already found another one that looks pretty promising. I'd have to build a house here, but i can do that...no problem.😃 Thank you so much for your helping through your words of encouragement. I got my dream farm almost ten years ago. We bought bare land and started from scratch. If I had it to do over, I would NOT be looking for big acreage. We have almost 40 acres and since we did NOT inherit this, since it was NOT a working farm when we got it, we have been unable to really do anything with it. We have no tractors, not even an ATV, no barns... none of the things REQUIRED to make money on a farm. Now, we DO have a lovely lifestyle as my husband kept his day job which supports my puttering about the property, but we have pretty much given up on trying to make this a working farm. Every farmer and rancher around here plays that bank game, get a loan to buy calves in the spring, hope you can sell them for enough to pay off the loan later. We are too old, and unwilling to take on that kind of debt. We want to pass PAID OFF land to our kids, not a giant debt load.
I guess what I am saying is when you are done being a little sad, count your blessings and maybe take another look at what you are hoping for. God may have just helped you dodge a bullet. Please consider looking for a little country place, but just half an acre, or even a quarter acre. It is PLENTY to have a big garden, a few chickens and maybe a milk goat or mini-cow. Let me throw this out for consideration. Plain old T-post and barb wire fence costs about $1 per foot for LABOR. Know how many feet it takes to surround 40 acres? THOUSANDS of dollars, and that is not even counting materials. You can save money building your own, but that burns your time and if you are working a farm, you will be as short on time as you are money.
Anyway, I do not mean to be "Debbie Downer" on farming, but I am, and always will be, about speaking the truth.

But.. don't lose hope! You can have another farm that you can afford for.. just keep your eyes on the land market.

I never loose hope....even when I'm sad. It just drives me to try harder. And I'm glad too,because I've already found another. I will have to build me a house if I choose this one. But i already know the price and that i can afford the land. Thank you so much Cici for being such the great person you are. @johndoer123 sorry things didn't work out as the way you planned but as the saying go with every disappointment always comes even greater reward in the future just keep looking around and don't give up and in the meantime keep safe brother.
I haven't brother....and i never will. If I give up i might as well die, and that would leave my family and community in a bad way. So i kept on, and i already found another possible place I'm excited about. I wrote slot about it in the other comments and left pictures showing it from the air. But i drove out there tonight to look at it. It's really beautiful. Here's a picture my dear friend. And thank you for your kind words.🤗

it's fine brother, I know you can find another else. Just hold that desire brother in having a farm. Someday, God will make it possible. I know your purpose of having it is good. So just keep believing on it..

Just a little ways away(a few miles) and there's about a third more land for around half the price. No house, but i can build one myself. Going to be a stone one if i buy this place. It even has a creek on the property with the right kind of rock to build with. And thanks for your positive words brother. You know it means a lot.
