Why I'm Never Making Another Post in Steemit Again! (And Where I'm Going Instead)
I know that you saw it coming. After a very short stint with the Steemit community, I've decided that I need a change. And that change is Busy.org... Okay, I know that's not much of a change, but hear me out!
For everyone who hasn't used the post editor on Busy.org, I suggest that you try it. Busy made a ton of improvements that I'm really enjoying. I just made my last post on selling products to earn Steem within minutes because of how awesome the post editor is. Here are three reasons why I'm going to make all my posts in Busy instead of through Steemit.com.
Reason 1: It's way easier to add images
No more uploading photos on a different site. This alone saves a ton of time. Plus, you won't wonder if you're inputting the HTML code correctly. (Correction: I've been informed by @ats-david that you can just copy and paste your images in the Steemit editor, I guess I'm coming back!)
Reason 2: Markup immediately shows up in the publisher
You'll know when you're using the wrong markup because there won't be any changes in the publishing platform. This makes it easy to publish quickly without worrying whether you're doing it correctly or scrolling down to review your content.
Reason 3: You can highlight to make simple formatting changes
The image above shows how you can easily bold, italicize, and do a lot more with your text in the Busy editor. If you're a Steemit power user (or quickly becoming one) save a ton of time by making the switch from creating posts in Steemit.com to building them with Busy.org. You'll enjoy it!

Though busy.org may be easier, I kinda enjoy messing with the markdown codes from time to time.
Also it gives us non-coders a really really small (almost non existent) climpse into coding.
I too enjoy that part of markdown.
That's exactly why I like busy a bet better. The markdowns show up directly on the screen as you type so ## creates the h2 tag and you can see it without checking the styling box! I love it
I usually write long form posts on stacked it.io. You can save your files etc there too. The markdown window and display window are side by side. You do need to copy and paste the markdown to post it to steemit though.
Short posts, I've found the Steemit editor to be ok. I'll try out busy.org later to compare. Thanks for the recommendation!

Reason 1 isn't accurate. You can simply copy-paste or drag and drop images into the editor on Steemit.
In general though, I don't find an advantage using either interface. They both have problems. I actually find the navigation on Busy to be lousy, which is why I've stayed on Steemit. Both interfaces need some serious design work and functionality/feature improvements. It's sad that there hasn't been more/better focus on that. Still waiting for that slick social media interface/app. I hope it comes soon.
Oh thanks for letting me know! I saw that note about copying and pasting in the editor here on Steemit, but I thought it was a joke. Oh man, well back to Steemit I come! ;)

Busy.org is still SteemIt, just a different (better?) client. Steemit.com is basically made by programmers, not graphical- and UI artists.
Busy is a scrolling nightmare....everything is so big. Other than that, I'm not sure what the big differences are. Seems like its the same site with mirrored content and categories.

Busy.org is great, but I think both platforms are meant to compliment eachother.
Steemit is considered to be similar to Medium.
Busy.org is likened to FaceBook.
Ah that totally makes sense! I'm actually still on Steemit.com right now. But I doubt I'll ever create another blog post here because it takes so long. At least until there's some work done on making it simpler to create in the platform.

Just spent yesterday and this morning reading and writing down codes and trying to get it all to format posts nicer for steemit.
Then having to go on another editor to finish it up.
