Much awaited car from Hyundai is finally here to compete with Renault duster and Ford EcoSport!

Creta is the much awaited car from Hyundai Motors India Ltd for the growing compact SUV segment in India. Creta has already created the buzz around the automobile market in India, since the time Hyundai announced it's launch and it has already secured more than 10,000 pre-bookings.

Growing SUV market in India have high demand for compact SUV, which provoked Hyundai to start a fresh look in this segment named Creta with number of unique features and a striking design.

Hyundai offers three engine options in Creta -1.4-litre CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre VTVT petrol. These are the same engines that do duty in Hyundai Verna.

While the 1.4-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol models will come with 6-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6-litre diesel will get options for 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. This also makes Creta the only diesel automatic car in its segment.

Hyundai Creta will be available in 6 levels-Base, S, S+, SX, SX+, SX and 11 variants.

Base model offers ABS with EBD, central locking, 2-Din music system with 4 Speakers, 16-inch wheels,Follow-me-home Headlamps, Motor Driven Power Steering with Tilt Function, Power Windows, Gear Shift Indicator etc.

The top-of-the-line Hyundai Creta model will get smart key with push start-stop button, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps, leather seats, audio video navigation system (AVN), 5-inch touchscreen audio system, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and phone control buttons, 6 airbags, reverse parking camera, projector headlamps,electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist control(HAC). AWD is not available for the current release.

Mileage is an important aspect in the Indian market and one of the strongest deciding factor. Petrol manual variants of the Creta is claimed to deliver 15.29 kmpl and 1.4 litre diesel manual variant is tuned to deliver 21.38 kmpl. On the other hand 1.6 litre diesel manual variant can run up to 19. 67 kmpl and the 1.6 litre diesel automatic variant claims to deliver 17.01 kmpl of run.

Prices vary from 8 lac to 13.5 lac.
