EtherBTC ICO screams of SCAM. Stay Away.
So, there is a new ICO in town.
EtherBTC - A hybrid cryptocurrency combining the best of Ethereum and Bitcoin (so do they claim...)
Let's get to know its features:
- It does not pay dividends.
- It is not a penny share in a company that might never make it.
Then?
Well, it's a decentralized, peer to peer currency that, like bitcoin, will be here for the long term. And like Bitcoin … from humble beginnings can come great things.
So, what's the tech behind the token, or the problem they are trying to address here? Nothing!!!
Their motto is to be great starting from humble beginnings.
If you will look at their white paper, it seems like an assignment submission of a school student. Seriously look at their goals.
I am copy-pasting them here from the white paper.
Have a successful Initial Coin Offering.
Have EtherBTC listed on as many exchanges as possible?
Have EtherBTC included as a native token on wallets supporting ERC20 tokens.
Promote a stable and increasing value for ETHB.
I don't know whether they are trying to be funny here intentionally or what. It looks like their whole purpose in life is to promote their token, take it to heights and greatness from humble beginnings.
So, I beg you not to waste your money on it. But then, I am not an expert here, just a normal guy who tries to be observant about the things especially where he is putting his money into.

The webiste has Java script for mining. lol. Registered last Dec. didnt receive any token of the so called airdrop.

STOPFunny that they are still going on with the scam. The website has a virus and I never received any AD. I also found out they are promising 1000EthB for holders of more than 100 ETHBtc, I almost fell for it, was about to buy the 100EthB for $100 when I noticed that it was very strange that an ERC20 token is purchased through credit card and they required so many personal details. Then I noticed the website was not even secure, yet they required personal information. I stopped right there and googled "ethbtc scam" and I was led to this post.
