WHERE IS OUR PALM OIL? (NIGERIA)

Early before 1960s, Nigeria was a large exporters of palm oil, which you might have read about the oin rivers of the last centuey. As we all know that palm oil is ver important to us as we use it when cooking

    It is not at a pity that today, Nigeria have become importers of palm oil and instead of exporters. And there are many reasons behind this:

1. firstly, the civil war destroyed many oil farms.
2. In a get-rich quick, people rush to the urban centres for jobs in the new industries and factories, so young men forgot all about harvesting the oil palms.
3. In order to have a developed country, many palm trees were uprooted.
   As a result, people like who had modest oil palm farm in the south. So, it was gradually or not so gradully Nigeria become importers instead of exporters of palm oil.
