The Diary Game - 17 March 2026 - From Suhoor to a Grand Iftar at Jamia Masjid

Assalamu Alaikum, I hope everyone is well and enjoying their lives. The last ten days of Ramadan are upon us, during which we have to worship as much as possible, try to keep ourselves free from sin, and collect as much reward as possible. I hope all my friends have a great Ramadan.

My day also started at dawn when I woke up and refreshed myself. After getting refreshed, I first ate breakfast, fasted, and then prayed Fajr. After praying, I often lie down to rest because I wake up early at night, so I rest for a while to catch up on sleep. After resting, I got up again, refreshed myself, and went outside.

The weather has been quite good today. It is raining, and the clouds are nice, which makes the weather pleasant. Similarly, there was a slight sun shining and there were white clouds in the sky. The sky was blue, which presented a very beautiful view.

Meanwhile, the little children of our family have to eat corn husks, which are cooked over a fire. The way to cook them is that we have to remove them from the crop in the same way. We have to harvest the corn crop and separate the husks from it, without removing the top. Then you have to light a fire in any pot with wood or anything you think is appropriate, and we have to cook them on top of it. That's how I cooked them.

Cooking in this way has only benefits, no disadvantages. It avoids salt and oil. The taste of anything cooked on this coal is also excellent, which is why everyone likes it.

We were supposed to have an iftar at the Jama Masjid near us and for this iftar we needed some things like cooking curry, cooking rice and also keeping fruits and other things along with it, so I started making arrangements for it quickly because in the evening there is not enough time to go and collect things again and again, so for this I first went to my nearby garden from where I needed some spinach which was necessary for the evening pakoras.

We usually get all the vegetables from the garden, they are close to us and is freshly cut, so we often buy things from there. So I also went there, bought fresh spinach from there, and kept it at home. After keeping it at home, I then headed to the market.

I came to the market because I needed some fruits to have for the evening iftar. We buy fruits from my uncle, who is from our own village and is also a very good friend of my father. So I went to him. He has all kinds of fruits. So I bought some dates from there, and I bought apples, and I also bought melons and bananas. I bought all these things from him so that everything would be in abundance for the evening iftar.

I had bought all the things I needed from the market, and I had already bought everything for the curry we were going to cook. So after buying the things, I went home. Around 3 pm, our chef also came to our house and started cooking. He started early because it could have taken a lot of time.

It took us about three hours here, and in three hours we prepared all the things, cut the fruit, cooked the food, then we put all the things in a rickshaw and took them to the mosque. After going to the mosque, we set the table about 15 minutes before iftar.

Since all the worshippers there were invited to break their fast here, and similarly, the interpretation of the Quran is also taught in the morning in the Jamia Masjid, they were also invited. Today was the end of the Quran. Everyone had listened to the complete Quran in Taraweeh, so this Iftar was being arranged in celebration of that. Therefore, an open invitation was given to all the people. Everyone had come here, and arrangements were made for Iftar for everyone, and everyone broke their fast and ate food together.

After breaking the fast, everyone offered the Maghrib prayer. After praying in the congregation, we collected all the belongings from there and headed towards our respective homes. Thus, Alhamdulillah, today we held an Iftar ceremony at the Jamia Masjid, thanks to which everyone was very happy, and a good moment was enjoyed.

I had a gift, which was a sports perfume. It had a very good fragrance. But the problem with it is that I can't find it anymore. I have seen it on many online platforms, but I haven't found it. I feel like this perfume will be available in India. I have seen this perfume on some Indian websites. So I would like some friends who are from India to help me. If it is available on any of their websites, then they should share the link with me so that I can import it to Pakistan and enjoy this fragrance. It is a great perfume.
