The significance of family influence is so important that it can make or break someone. The type of family background someone comes from would to a long extent determine whether the person will turn out well trained or not.
There’s a particular girl in my care that I am overseeing currently. It’s been from one point of misbehaving to another and all of this boils down to the fact that she didn’t grow up under proper parental care. She’s an orphan. Her mum and dad died at a very tender age and she had to grow up under the care of relatives and finally her grandpa.
She can’t seem to stay under guidance and tutulage without messing things up. She has a mind of her own and does what she deem fit. Even when she sees people who wants to help her. Her character ruins the chances for genuine care.
If only she had been under strict parental and family care, she would probably have turned out better. A lot of people who are thorns in the flesh of the society are children who came from dysfunctional homes. The family is the smallest unit of the society. When the family gets it right, the society gets it right and vice-versa. Everyone who is a member of the society came from a family in one way or the other.
Family helps to discipline a child and train children in the right way that would make them responsible members of the society and country at large. When family fails in this regard, it affects the society at the long run. So family plays a very important role during one’s childhood.
Which type of familial culture would you prefer, and what is the rationale behind your preference? |
|---|
Talk of family culture, structure and
preferences, I’d say that the nuclear family would be most preferred by me. I grew up from one and have also being privileged to see those who grew up in different cultures. This is most certainly better even though some still have shortcomings. No family is perfect.
The nuclear family is made up of members of the immediate family of same mother and father and no externals. This type of family structure is compact and makes for easy relationships, training and communication with each other.
The parents are able to really train and discipline their children rightly hence helping to help them transition into responsible members of the society. The close knitting as against the larger families give this structure an edge.
Please analyze the advantages and disadvantages associated with various family structures, including joint families, nuclear families, and professional families. |
