Today was Sunday, a day when most people usually take rest, but for me it was still a working day. Since many staff members were on leave, I had to go to the hospital to perform the manager duty. In healthcare services, the hospital never really stops working, whether it is a weekday or a weekend. Patients continue to come for treatment and the staff on duty must ensure that everything runs smoothly. I reached the hospital in the morning and started checking the departments and staff availability. Being responsible for manager duty means not only supervising work but also listening to the concerns of the staff and making sure their working environment is comfortable.

During the morning rounds, a few staff members approached me with a concern about the chairs in the nursing station. They told me that some of the chairs were broken and it had become difficult for them to sit comfortably during long shifts. In a hospital setting, nurses and other healthcare workers often work for many hours, and small things like proper chairs can make a big difference in their comfort and efficiency. After listening to their concern, I checked the chairs myself and realized that they really needed replacement. I immediately arranged for the damaged chairs to be replaced so that the staff could work without discomfort. When the new chairs arrived and were placed in the station, the staff looked relieved and thankful. Moments like this remind me that leadership in the workplace is not only about giving instructions but also about solving practical problems that affect the team.

While I was busy with the hospital work, I suddenly received a call from my wife. She told me that the recharge on her phone had expired and she needed it urgently. Since everything today can be managed digitally, I quickly opened the MyJio application on my phone and recharged her number within a few minutes. It was a simple task, but it saved her from inconvenience. After completing the recharge, the application asked for a rating, and since the process was smooth and quick, I gave the app a five-star rating. Technology really makes daily life easier, especially when you can solve such small issues instantly even while being busy at work.

By around two o’clock in the afternoon, my duty for the day was completed and I returned home. Sundays usually give a little extra time for personal activities, and since the festival of Eid al‑Fitr is approaching, I had already planned to go shopping with my friends. After resting for a short time, I met my friends and we went to the market together. The markets these days are full of energy because everyone is preparing for the upcoming celebration. Shops were decorated with colorful lights and new clothes were displayed everywhere.

We spent quite some time visiting different clothing stores and looking at various designs. Buying new clothes before Eid is a tradition that brings excitement every year. After checking several options, I finally selected a few clothes that I liked. Instead of ready-made fitting, I decided to give the clothes to a tailor so that they could be stitched according to my measurements. I handed the fabric to the tailor and discussed the design and fitting with him so that the clothes would be ready before the festival.

After finishing the shopping, I returned home feeling satisfied. The day started with responsibilities at the hospital and ended with preparations for the upcoming celebration. Even though it was a Sunday and not exactly a holiday for me, the day felt productive and balanced. Managing work, helping staff, supporting family, and spending time with friends for Eid preparations made the whole day meaningful. Small moments like these remind me that every day has its own responsibilities and joys, and balancing both is what makes life interesting.
