Sometimes, moments arise that one never imagined. All of a person's plans come to nothing. An individual plans for the future—thinking, "I will do this, I will do that"—but God’s plan is something else entirely.

What I am sharing today has truly shaken me to the core. A lady of my age lives in my neighborhood; her name is Parul. She lives with her husband, father-in-law, and daughter, and we share a friendly rapport. She was part of our women's group.

Just fifteen days ago, I learned that her 25th wedding anniversary was coming up on the 30th and that she was planning to celebrate it with great fanfare. She had bought jewelry, the invitations were printed, the hotel was booked—preparations were in full swing. We thought it was wonderful; they are well-off, and these days, everyone throws parties.

Then, about eight days ago, I heard that Parul had fallen seriously ill and was hospitalized. I asked a friend, "Wasn't her 25th anniversary coming up? What happened?" She replied, "It couldn't happen; she was so sick that all invitations and bookings had to be cancelled. The exchange of garlands and the cake-cutting ceremony took place right there in the hospital." We remarked on how much effort she had put into the preparations.

It must have been so painful for her. Still, we thought, "It doesn't matter; the party can be celebrated later—if health permits and everything is fine at home, it can happen in the future." But yesterday, I suddenly learned that Parul had passed away. Upon hearing the news, I let out a scream; she was so young. She was such a lively person—how could this happen so suddenly? I still cannot believe that Parul is no longer in this world.

Everyone attended her funeral; anyone who saw Parul—and her weeping, inconsolable daughter—was moved to tears. Today is the 7th, and a prayer ceremony is being held at her home; I will be attending it at 2:00 PM. It is deeply painful—looking at Parul’s photograph, I simply cannot believe she is no longer with us.

The most heartbreaking part is that she was sent off wearing the very lehenga she had bought for her 25th-anniversary party. It is gut-wrenching to witness the contrast between God’s plans and human plans. What can I say? There are simply no words.
