Movie Review — Andhadhun
Assalamu Alaikum
I hope you are all well, by the grace of God I am also well. We know that cinema is not just a medium of entertainment but also highlights the character of people, the darkness of society, the breakdown of society, the hard truth of reality. The story hides the form of people, fear, love and the struggle for survival, today I will talk about a thriller movie that is not only full of mysteries and twists but also a terrifying reflection of how cruel human character can be.

The main character of the movie, Akash, is a piano player who pretends to be blind just to experience his art more deeply, but this blindness throws him into an incident where he suddenly witnesses a murder. And the problem is that no one is sure if he is really blind. Andhadhun's story progresses through one wrong decision after another, false identities and unexpected events. Here, no character is completely good or bad, everyone works for their own interests and that interest gradually gives the story a terrible shape. The main theme of the movie is the boundary between truth and falsehood, human greed and survival instinct, "Is what I see true?"
Ayushmann Khurrana (Aakash)'s performance as a blind piano player is amazing, the performance of understanding the situation without seeing it with his eyes, fear and confusion are all very realistic. The most terrifying and powerful character in this movie is Tabu (Simi). His acting is so natural that the audience is sometimes forced to hate him and sometimes admire his intelligence. He has explained with silence that being a villain does not mean shouting. After this, Radhika Apte (Sophie) brings balance to the story as an honest and straightforward character.
The cinematography is very minimal but meaningful, the piano music is not just a background but a part of the story. The color tone, camera angel and silence all combine to make the viewer think again and again "What will happen next?"
Here no one is completely innocent, the situation often makes the criminal. The huge difference between seeing with the eyes and knowing the truth is the biggest point of the movie. A small decision can change the whole life is shown in Andhadhun. Not physical blindness but moral blindness is more dangerous.
Andhadhun is one of the best thrillers in Bollywood for me. This movie will make you laugh and scare you and sometimes it will raise the question - "Is what you saw true?" There is no easy answer here, the ending of the movie is deliberately left open so that the viewer can interpret it in his own way and this is where Andhadhun is different.
Andhadhun proves that thrillers are not just about murder and blood—thrillers can be a war going on inside people's heads. You won't be able to trust anyone while watching this movie and that is the biggest success of this movie. Andhadhun is a masterpiece for those who love psychological thrillers, dark comedy and twist endings. Today's discussion concludes here. I hope you've found it interesting. Please share your thoughts on today's topic. Prayers for everyone. May everyone be well. Amen.
