Series Review — Scam 1992
Assalamu Alaikum
I had seen the scam 1992 series a long time ago but due to lack of time I did not share it with you then but today I will share it with you, let's start without further ado.
| Series | Scam 1992 |
|---|---|
| Director | Hansal Mehta |
| Cast | Prateek Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwantari |
| Country | India |
| Platform | Sony Liv |
| Length | 10 Episodes |
| Release Date | 9 October 2020 |
As the name of the series suggests, it is a story from the 90s, it is basically about the rise and fall of Harshad Mehta, the famous 'Big Bull' of the Bombay Stock Market in the 90s. The journey from a simple broker to a 'Big Bull' in the Indian stock market and then getting involved in a 5000 crore rupees banking scam is shown here.
Prateek Gandhi's performance as Harshad Mehta is completely natural and will impress you so much that you will not see him as a criminal but as a real player. The music and the nineties atmosphere of the series have taken every scene to a unique height. Without any cheap action, this series has the ability to keep the audience locked in the screen with only a battle of wits and words.
This series wants to make us understand that the consequences of excessive ambition and using loopholes in the system can be terrible, it is much harder to maintain success than to achieve it. One of Harshad Mehta's dialogues was "Risk hai toh ishq hai", it makes us understand that taking risks is good but when risk exceeds morality, the fall is certain. This series basically shows where human greed and addiction to power take people.
Finally, I will say this: The storytelling of the Scam 1992 series is excellent, even those who have no idea about the stock market can watch this series. After watching this series, you will feel that life is actually like a game of chess where one wrong move is enough to end everything. Those who have not watched the Scam 1992 series yet can watch this series. Today's discussion concludes here. I hope you've found it interesting. Please share your thoughts on today's topic. Prayers for everyone. May everyone be well. Amen.
