How do you glance at the term "Nothing comes free in life!" Explain!.

Nothing comes free in life is the saying that conveys the notion that any good, success, or duty tends to demand some kind of work, or sacrifice, or care. As I look at this term I realize that it serves as a reminder to me that life is based on a system of exchange. In the majority of the cases, when we desire something meaningful, we should be ready to spend time, energy, patience or dedication to receive it.

There is a hidden cost to something that seems to be free even in cases where it seems free. An example is that an individual may be offered free education on scholarship but he or she has to work hard, discipline, and commitments to sustain it. On the same note, when others provide assistance to us, the price may be the obligation to put the assistance into good use and return the favor. Thus, the saying is a lesson to us not to be complacent about things and to realize the hard work that goes into every reward that we get.

At a personal level, I do concur that there is never a free ride when we get what we get in life. Despite not working hard or not sacrificing, there are hardly successful, happy or personal growths. To illustrate this point, an individual who desires to succeed in his or her profession must undergo years of studying, learning new things and surviving. In the process, they might experience disappointments or failures, and that is what comes at the cost of growth and betterment. On the same note in order to maintain good relationships, one must be patient, trusting, understanding and communicating.

Even individual autonomy is accompanied by the fact that we have to make good choices and face the results of our actions. Nevertheless, the price of life is not necessarily to be considered as bad. In most of the situations, our hard work to reach our desired heights shapes us, makes us stronger in our determination and makes us learn some valuable lessons in life.
