Good To See These Buddies Doing Fine.

Following the recent downturn we experienced at the farm a month ago, we had to improvise and come up with alternative plans which gave birth to what I'm about to share today. After the incident I captured in one of my previous posts, we decided to move the livestock we have left, back home.

We have a small farm somewhere around the home where we now keep and tend for these buddies. They looked really fragile and completely malnourished when we brought them, of course those we took to the farm then to come buy them and others for a price left them out because they were too small to be bought...according to them.Moreso, they weren't looking too good.

But the story is different now they look quite good and well taken care of, although they are kept in a confined farm space, left to roam about and do whatever and I think they love the freedom they have here compared to where they used to be.

The only challenge we would have with this semi-intensive system is that they won't convert the food given to them well because of their constant movement in that space. It is quite a big space with enough vegetation which would provide them with forage that they feed on when their daily ration is not available.

One funny but not so interesting fact about them is that they can be very destructive, using their snoot to dig out anything diggable... This part annoys me, I'm sure famers who are into piggery can attest to this, they could dig up concrete floor with that snoot that looks somewhat soft.

You need to see how much work they've done on their own tilling and digging up the soil to look for what I do not really know. Ooop! Seems like I'm ranting about their deeds already, please don't mind me, that creature can be very funny. Anyways the joy of the whole thing is that they are coping very fine in their new habitat.

Of course they get excited every time I show up with something to feed them. At this point, let me commend them a bit by saying they can be cool too...they come around you when they don't feel threatened and permit you to touch or play with them as long as they feel comfortable...

It was a good time checking them today. I do not go regularly and even the previous visitation I did, I didn't take pictures of them, nor write about it but today's visitation propmted me to write about them after a very long time.
I think it's about time I end this piece, thanks for your time friend for reading through. See you some other time.
