Hi guys! Welcome to my blog, I trust you're well. Today I've got a diary to share with y'all, I should have shared yesterday but couldn't cause I was very tired from the day's activity. Yeah! I was at the farm yesterday and the activity at the farm wore me out. I had to just relax, look for a way to make an application post for my team and then call it a day.

It was a bright sunny day guys, the sun was up already, one that could discourage an average person from stepping out...not even to a place like a farm but what do I do when there is a need to get some food items down to the farm. I stepped out knowing fully well that I had other things to do as well.

Took a cab heading in my direction. At a point, one of the vehicles I boarded had to stop for lack of fuel. I got pissed off but I just decided to keep my cool. Why would a driver be so careless to check what his fuel level looks like since he would be moving passengers about with it.

Many of these vehicles do not even have a fuel gauge, I mean it's not functional and they don't mind...not even the inconvenience it causes the passengers when they "suddenly" run out of fuel just like in my case. I just waited in the vehicle till he found his way to the nearest fuel station to get fuel for the vehicle.

I got to the farm with a bike, obviously one commercial motorcyclist I do patronize took me down there. I actually decided to take a bike down there because I needed him to help me run some errands with the bike, like moving what was left of the maize we stored in the farm for milling. We had about three bags plus a little left. So he had to help for an extra fee different from the cost of bringing me down to the farm.

While he was moving the maize down to be milled, I had to carefully move around the farm to carefully observe what I saw as we moved in, I noticed that fire had entered our farm land, I was surprised though. I had to ask our worker over there what had happened, he said a careless farmer started the fire but lost control of it so it began to spread.

Thank God we didn't have so much on the land at the moment except for some unharvested cassava crop which is already due for harvesting anyways. I wonder why people would be so careless and carefree, now their carelessness has affected someone else. Anyway, he or she should be grateful that we didn't really have something on that land at the moment that was wrecked.

Not far from that burnt area is a fish pond that we plan to revive, weed had overtaken it and it looks completely abandoned because we actually did abandon it as we didn't want to venture into it at the time but this time around, an expert came around and encouraged us to look in that direction.

What he asked that we do for first before he comes to do the real work of revamping that pond was to clear the weed that had taken over the pond and then drain the water completely, we de-mud the pond and get out the fish inside before stocking a fresh one. As at yesterday, those we gave the job of clearing the pond were already done as seen in the pictures below. We can now proceed with other aspects.

I checked the animals as well, they are doing quite fine. I also saw one of our sheep who had just given birth to a lamb and we are indeed grateful for the addition. Just two weeks ago, a sheep gave birth to two lambs and this week we have an additional one. These are the kind of news and increase that gladdens the heart of a farmer.

After the whole assessment, I had to journey back to the town with my motorcyclist who was obviously done with the task given to him even though he later charge me extra after a fair negotiation. Anyway I had to oblige because it would be difficult to get someone who would do that for me around the farm.

I got home feeling exhausted from the whole journey of the day. Thank God I didn't have to go to work the following day, going to the farm yesterday was indeed strategic because rest was certain for today and of course I enjoyed the free day off work. This was how my day went guys! Let me wrap it up here, thanks for staying with me. Gracias!
