One of the posts I always find difficult to quickly pen down is diary post, the reason is not far fetched, It's not always easy for me to put it together the very day I capture my day's activity and the following day might just be another busy day, this then makes me procrastinate till I think I have the energy to pen it. Such is the case with this one I'm about sharing.
Yeah! It was another eventful visit to the farm, we had quite a number of stuff lined up for the day at the farm. The most important reason for the visit was to check the work being done on the pond we are looking to revive. If you have been following, I shared in my previous diary how the pond was cleared. The next step after that is to drain the water in the pond before its finally de-muded

Above are the picture that captures the moment the pond was being drained. This was not achieved on that day, it took more than 15 liters of fuel to run the machine that drained this water completely. Of course we left them there to check other things around the farm.
Just as we were carrying out our routine check we discovered that one of our goats had given birth to a strong young kid, it's actually a male. This is an addition to the farm. One of the very things that gladdens the heart of a farmer. It's actually a beautiful sight to behold.

We did other routines before we left the farm on that day, appreciating God for the progress made so far with the whole farm activities. Just yesterday we visited the farm again to track the progress so far about the pond. This time they had finished draining the water in the pond and were already getting rid of the mud in the pond.

Of course they caught quite a number of huge fishes that had been surviving in that pond for the number of years it has been abandoned. They are quite huge. When we got there, they showed us the fish where they had kept it for us. These guys seem to be very honest because I still wonder how they could have kept those fish until we came to see and pick them.

Getting rid of the mud is the major challenge and the last phase of reviving the pond. The work is still ongoing. Just before we left we went to check on our pigs that are now looking quit big and ready to be disposed. Some of them are now pregnant and would be reproducing in a couple of months from now.
Their story still baffles me, these were the same set of pigs that we wanted to sell off out of despair and frustration. We only summoned courage to give it our best and then the miracle we had hoped for just surfaced. They responded to our effort by changing rapidly and today we can say we have a pen filled with healthy and marketable pigs.

Enough has been said already about the farm. I wish I could show y'all how the fish we got ended. Of course, making pepper soup out of it wasn't an option because we actually did make pepper soup out of it. I hope you're not feeling left out already. Well, if you're, my advice to you is that, it's not too late to become a farmer. You can start today.
I think it's high time I dropped this pen. Thank you so much for staying with me. See ya later.
