Could remember vividly just two weeks ago, I was on the phone with my Dad, he actually called in to check on me. While we were on the phone I mistakenly mentioned that I would be visiting the farm that day, I mean the day he called. You can literally hear the fear in his voice when he heard I was going to the farm.

The reason wasn't far fetched, the country is now experiencing a high level of insecurity. The news on our dailies are now more scary and communicate hopelessness for the masses. People can no longer travel and feel safe let alone visit their farms because of the fear of bandits and terrorists in the bush waiting to catch their victim and then use them to get ransoms in millions from the family of the victims.

My conversation with my Dad on phone was two weeks ago, I think it was just a few days after my visit that 42 kids alongside some teachers were recorded kidnapped in my state and taken into the bush. Just a day or two after, they beheaded one of the teachers in cold blood just to send a message to the government and the entire citizens of Nigeria.

I would have loved to share some pictures here but they are very sensitive which of course negate the ethical rules of the platform. All the pictures shared in this post are just pictures of me trying to go about my activity in a country that is now very unsafe. Our security agencies seem not to be on top of the situation.

Many other private security outfits, forest guards and local hunters are now joining forces with our security operatives to rescue the kidnapped victims. There are dozens of people presently in the bush across various locations with these people, begging for their lives which seem to be worthless in the hands of these kidnappers.

We have protested and voiced out our displeasure but it seems to me that all of these are falling into deaf ears . At this point only God can save Nigeria and intervene in the affairs of this country. Nigeria is in a state of unrest dear friends, please pray for us as often as you can.
