The May contest #2 by sduttaskitchen: Society requires Security!
Security is all about being free from danger harm or fear in other words being safe. Security is a fundamental concept that is important to us at all levels individual, Regional, National and International. How we achieve security depends on the nature or the context of the danger.
What is the definition of security according to your perspective?

In general the term refers to protecting what matters the most to us. All of us want to be able to pursue our goals without exposing ourselves to undue risks. There are many different types of security, for example personal security is all about keeping each one of us clothed, feed, safe and healthy. We can achieve this by making sure we have access to food shelter safety and medical care. The well-being of all the citizens of a country is part of national Security. Diplomacy military defense and intelligence are also components of National Security.
In addition to prioritising technical security measures, it is essential for us also to address the aspect of social security. I welcome your insights on this matter.

In the world today, we focus more on technical security, we should also give same attention to social security because true security is not only by technology.
There are security breaches in our security systems today not because our technologies are weak. But because individuals are manipulated, scammed, phishing attempts, misleading information and impersonation are all as a result of human behaviour rather than technical issues.
This shows with our best advanced technology, there are chances of security breach if we are not informed, aware, and prepared.
Based on this, security shouldn't be all about protecting systems; we should also include educating people. Developing our social security means; creating awareness on digital technology, building a strong communication network and trust, educating people on how to identify fraud and Creating supportive communities.
When we personally understand the risks involved and know how to respond to them, the society becomes is safe.
In my own opinion, the best way is to balance the both of them, technical and social security. Technology can defend our systems, but as humans, we are responsible for a long-term security.

To establish a civilised society, what are the key principles that should be implemented?
A well structured society build it's principles on how the leaders act and the individual interact. With these principles applied, stability, fairness and long term development is seen.
The law should be fair to everyone, no favouritism attached. When we balance these things, there would be a level of trust between the government and the people. People can speak freely their mind.
Leaders must be open and answerable in their doings. This helped to keep corruption on the low.
